Whats your favorite Ballad

It is a toss up either Cars "Drive" and that slow Sherriff song. Can't remember the title. Oh and Van Halen "Not Enough" oh and Bob Seger "Even Now" or "Night Moves." I could keep going.

feel free to pos all ballads you like I am getting into a ballad stage for my music listening

Sherriff...When I'm With You

My fave ballad would have to be Uncle Tom's Cabin, Warrant.

I love that song too, but I never saw it specifically as a love ballad. :)

Mine is the orginal Cats in the Cradle.

Yes I love Harry Chapin.
Let's see I love so many songs
American Pie - Don Mclean
Hotel California-Eagles
Brown eyed girl - VanMorrison
But if I had to pick just one it would be Brandy by Looking Glass.

Well, I must add MeatLoaf's "Two Outta 3 Ain't Bad"!!! I'm listening to it now, very beautiful. BTW, thanks everyone. You made me pull out my double CD Lost In Love. ~sigh~ lol

<Grabbing some tissues and Ravenloft, and heading out to the IMs>

Tiggs. I never claimed that "mama I'm coming home" was a love ballad. Just a ballad :)

Thank god no one has picked the BEST three ballads of all time!!!

Open Arms - Journey
Eternal Flame - Bangles
To be with you - Mr. Big

I go all soft in the heart whenever I hear them!!!

Yeah yeah yeah. Bite me Jackass! lol Damn this CD. It has me all moody. ;) I am currently listening to REO Speedwagon's "Can't Fight This Feeling". ~sigh~

Ooo Tiggs. Are we back at name calling LOL. btw I KNOW you can do better than Jackass hehehehe

Good ones Ravenloft.

There's also Extreme's "More than words"
That's a good one me thinks :)

CB!! Why don't you try us :) This is an international site after all.

Hmm CB. Can't say that I know those..but it was worth a try :)

'Yellow Submarine" and "Sargent Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band", both by The Beatles, And for me "Puff, the Magic Dragon" by Peter, Paul, and Mary will always be very special. The sixties and early seventies were loaded with ballads, alot of them protesting Veit Nam. Like "Where Have all the Flowers Gone?", "One Tin Soldier", and "Waiting for the Robert E. Lee".

Okay, I'm not sure if this would be a ballad or not (and I don't know the name of the song or the lady who sings it :( ), but in the Cinderella movie staring Drew Barrymore there was a VERY beautiful song. The woman had an Irish accent (yes, I could tell even while she was singing. Just I can tell with the singer of Cranberries). Anyone know that song?

Yes Celestial... would love to see, maybe even try to find some. We are an eclectic bunch you know. And you know, you don't have to understand the words to sense the emotion. Heck if we had to do that there go half the ballads sung here in the USA.

Okay, you type faster then me with this busted wrist. I will have to see if I can find some of those. Thank you.
