I'm a little bored, so am looking for something to talk about.

What do you do each evening?

Log on to the net as soon as you get home? Do you have a class? Maybe a crafts class. Take the ankle biters off to some activity? Maybe you head home and eagerly anticipate yelling at the family and kicking the dog. Heh.

My routine depends on whether I'm working or not. If I am, then when I get home, I turn on all the lights so as to see where I'm stepping. Very important in a house with pets. Put down the junk I've brought home, pet the squawking cat, then collapse on the couch with a huge sigh. Gotta think about dinner. If I'm not very hungry, and hubby's on the evening shift, I'll pop onto the net for a little while, then fix my dinner. A little TV, then clean up. More computer time. First the net, then I'll play a while, then net again. Then bed sometime around 2 a.m. Boring, I know. :)

Drink beer. Watch news, drink more beer, eat dinner, drink more beer, go to bed!

Since the kid went off to college last fall things have been pretty quite around here. I usually come hiome, check/read teh amil, read the paper, check e-mail, make dinner and then pop ointo Lit for a bit...

I pop on and off the 'puter all evening long between TV watching or listening to CDs. I also moderate another site so I pop in there quite a bit too.

Otherwise.. its just pretty darn boring.

undress

take 10 pills

turn on the internet

turn on ytv for Yugi Oh

then surf, eat, bath, eat, surf and tv

Make dinner for the kidlets, listen to the kidlets complain about said dinner, clean up dinner, bathe the kidlets, jammie time for the kidlets, story and cuddle time, bed time.

Mom collapses.

Watch the news while cooking dinner. Sips on beer. Have dinner while watching TV. Sips on beer. Snuggle with Tank while watching TV until kid goes to bed. Sips beer. Watch a little more TV. When the coast is clear Tank and I retire to the bed room and lock the door. Sips beer. Tank and I have our playtime until we are wiped out. Sips beer. Boom Boom out go the lights.

After I get home from work I

Take a shower
feed my cats
cook diner for myself
play with my cats Leaper and Hopitty
turn on the computer
go to Lit and read some stories
start to post on threads
go to bed

It depends on after school activities on how soon the following takes place.

I snuggle him and ask about his day, once he walks in and gets a bit settled. We chit chat while while he gets out any homework he may have, I help him when needed.

Ask what he may want for dinner, if it isn't already prepared. After homework and food has been taken care of, we'll watch a movie or a tv program together. Several times a week we'll play a card or board game.

The night before he has drama practice we'll run his lines. Then I run his shower water, get out his clothing. We say his prayers, I gather up an armful of stuffed animals and I tuck him in as he likes to say, like a Mummy. lol

I try and spend as much time as I can with him until his bedtime.. I miss him terribly on the weekends.

Yo

Get home, unload spare crap from the car, (business crap), let daughter in from school and make sure she changes out of uniform before she starts roughing about.

Supervise said daughter attempting to begin dinner for mum, luckily mum gets in before too much damage is done.

Business paperwork if I feel like it, if not Simpsons on telly then dinner.

On to pute for half hour, then telly and family chat, or whatever.

later, 11.00pm onward log on to Lit or other sites and trawl the net for a couple of hours, then bed.

pops............

My nights rarely change.

After work I pick up the little one at day care. We run whatever errands we need to...bank, grocery, library whatever. Once home, we pick up the house and start a load of laundry (now, I say this is part of my routine but there are days I simply don't do shit! :D). My oldest is already home and he gets started on the house with his chores and does his homework. Before I log into Lit, we'll go over his homework and what still needs to be done. Then I come to Lit. I glance at the first 3 pages to see what has gone on throughout the day. I'll read the last 2 pages before I come back to the first. I'll read and post until I decide to make dinner. At that time I'm on and off Lit for the rest of the night. There is more homework to be checked, the little one bathed and jammied and read to, the laundry changed and all that other crap you gotta do when you are a grown up. ;) Once everything is settled, I climb into bed. There are only certain shows I like to watch on tv, so I'm usually reading. I go to sleep pretty early because I get up early.

That is night in the life este. :)

Well, my evenings begin in the afternoons...

strip
shower
check mail, boards, log on to various chat thingies
(this takes a while)

throw together a salad and something to go with it

fall asleep. :)

Work

Log onto chats, talk for a bit.

DL a couple of songs.

Work some more

Take about an hour out to play a little counter Strike

Work some more

Goto bed (2-5 am )

No, THIS is the boring one.;)

Beginning at 5:30, I tell my son its time to feed the dog. It usually takes 3 or 4 times before he does it. I think about dinner for about 15 minutes, then decide to actually cook it, but first I check out the computer, and I either put a load of laundry in, or take one out. I peek at the computer again, sigh, then decide to start dinner. The dishwasher needs to be unloaded first, so I do that, then I start dinner. I break up another fight between the 13 year old and the 6 year old. Then I refresh again, answer eighty eleven kiddie questions and break up more fights and start picking up/straightening up AGAIN. Usually, they are practicing their instruements and the house is just rocking, lol, and I feel I'm losing my mind. I peek at the computer, the laundry and the cell phone, then go back to the kitchen. I fix their plates, we say the blessing, they eat, and then I actually sit down at the computer. I have the TV or stereo on at all times, and I try to do a little work on the computer, but keep getting interrupted. I go to the kitchen, fix a drink, load the dishwasher, clean up, get the 6 year old involved in drawing or dolls or a puzzle, and make sure the 13 year old is doing his homework. (He isn't.) Then I run the 6 year olds bath, take her by the hand and put her in, hear the cell phone ring once and realize its Trails code, which means "get the heck offline!", lol, so I do and then we talk awhile. Then I wash her hair and her, get her out, dress her, we play, I clean, answer 30 more questions, fix more snacks for them, go through her book bag (if I remember, otherwise its the next morning) and by then, shes snoring on the sofa and I have to move her to her bed. I'm yawning now.
Then I watch TV or read for about 30 minutes, refresh the computer again, sigh, watch TV some more, listen to my son play his latest song, tell him atleast 5 times to get his shower, talk to Trail again, finish the laundry, get some more tea, and go to bed to watch TV awhile because by then my back is throbbing. Then I talk to Trail again. This gets me riled up so I have to get up again, I go back to the computer and because everyone is in bed now, I can actually spend a little peaceful time reading, writing, browsing etc. While doing this, I wash my face, go through all the nightly routine, then brush my teeth, fix more tea, take 2 Valerian, get back in bed, surf the channels a little, and talk to Trail again. Then its all over til 5ish the next morning.

*Yawn*

Man, I love not having kids. LOL My days are so calm compared to many of you. And I love it. :D

well, the time my evening begins depends on the night of the week and what's been going on that night. but generally when I get back here, I check my emails since I've usually been gone for about 7 or 8 hours at least doing things for classes and such. then I sit down and complain to myself about how tired I am. then I pull out the books for the homework that is due either the next day or the day after and depending on my mood watch tv while I do it or sit at the computer. then around 11, whether I'm done or not I go to bed cuz I have to get up early at 6 most every morning. then around 1130 I have to call the front desk cuz my neighbors are being loud. they make an attempt to get them to be quiet, but it doesnt really work and we go through this same thing until around 2am when they finally get the hint and shut up. then I get to sleep.

Usually it goes something like this:

Get home.
Pick up and cuddle kitty. Feed kitty.
Check answering machine. Return calls if needed.
Go for walk by lake.
Go back inside.
Email, post at Lit, surf net. Write if inspired.
Let kitty out when she starts scratching at the window.
Get back to computer.
Let kitty back in when she starts scratching at the window.
Get back to computer.
