I got 7 out of 10... :)

So did I, and I can't believe how wasteful of energy and resources Americans are compared to the rest of the world. What's wrong with us??

Yeah I was pretty shocked by quite a few of them... I overestimated on most and got them right and was appalled!

I'm not going to spoil the fun, but will instead resurrect "isolated POLITICAL blurt" to share something about 'buying indulgences.' :rose:

Transportation.

Big country, more goods transported on road vs train than in the rest of the west, decentralized consuming habits (meaning you drive longer to buy groceries), pretty big cars, lots of domestic flight traffic (much more than, say, the EU as a comparable region).

Yea, I know it was probably a rhethoric question, but I couldn't help myself. ;)

Apparently I own a Hummer I didn't know about. Let me tell you, when I find the bastard that stole it... :D :D

I actually didn't know most of the answers, and my guesses were too high.

I got 3 out of ten. And those were the ones I knew the answers to. I guess I guessed wrong every single time.

I really disliked the blurb at the end which told me I should turn in my Hummer for something better. I'd have to spend not a penny of my income for eight years to be able to afford a Hummer.

So, do people have things they try to do day-to-day to be 'green'?

My partner and I try hard to consume/produce as little garbage as possible, and between the two of us, we generally have only about half a kitchen-size garbage bag of trash per week.

One of our best tricks is taking tupperware with us when we go out to eat, so we never come home with styrofoam containers. Same with coffee--if we're getting it to go, we take commuter mugs, rather than use up the disposable paper cup and plastic lid. And we avoid those little plastic water bottles at all costs.

We're shit on the driving, though (no hummer, at least)--but we're about to move to the city center, and then we'll be walking pretty much everywhere.

I got 7 out of 10 and was surprised at that. Some of the answers I think about questioning.
