So Ladies, Gentlemen, Studs and Studettes.... what smell does your brain get going? What smell does it take to get your neural receptors start playing the bongos?

For me it would be the smell of freshly cut grass or the air after rainfall.... but then - my mum's cooking can be quite yummy smelly too. :)

Freshly baked bread, I love the smell of bread when its just been pulled from the oven (or in my case bread maker).

the smell of woodsmoke, when you first walk outside on a cold winter morning, with your breath misting the air.
Nothing else compares.

Two things.

Chocolate. Mmmmmm....walk into a See's candy store and I am in heaven.

Also, the smell of sex. A rousing afternoon playtime, where you have rolled around in the bed, blankets, pillows everywhere, sweaty, legs intangled..heavy breathing....and you are ready to go at it again:D:D

Cassidy:kiss:

Glad to see you on the boards again, LittleD:rose:

I thrill to the smell inside a Broadway theatre! Of course I seem to be the only one who does smell it, and it's not every theatre (none of the newer ones have it), but I get a whiff as soon as I pass through the lobby. I think it has something to do with all the curtains and carpets, but it just adds to my anticipation of sitting down and letting the play begin!

I also adore the smell of the Atlantic Ocean, and roasted nuts frp, the street vendors in winter.

The smells of the stable, albeit a clean and well attended to stable.

I grew up with horses, and our neighbors all around had them. The smells of the stable immediately bring a rush of comically lust filled memories flooding over me.

I spent SO MUCH TIME naked in the haylofts with every conceivable combinatioin of my friends and neighbors during those years.................

Memories

A pine forest. It's nice in the summer but it's in the winter that I really notice it. The crisp, clean air seems to heighten the awareness, somehow.

Almost all of the above...

The stable... the horses... the air on a frosty morning, when you can smell the snow waiting to fall...

Pine Forests always make me think I'm in a huge giant lavatory - maybe I should stop using Pine Fresh Toilet Freshener

I am with my Frenchie Fry.........Nessie

Actually, in some places, you may be.

waaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh........ now you spoiled my whole "Pine Wood Walk Experience" for me hehehehe :D

There are a couple scents that I just adore

Vanilla is one I just love the smell of vanilla.
The ocean is another one, a crisp breeze dancing across your skin as you take a quiet walk along the beach, the smell is intoxicating and invigorating.

A Bakery, a christmas tree, campfires or woodburning stoves in the wintertime, and the smell of autumn in the air.

My four year olds hair first thing in the morning after she wakes me up... coffee from the drip machine... Boss for her perfume... the last bottle of aftershave I was given, Boss Dark Blue... smoked chicken fettuccine... 1987 Cabernet Sauvignon from Te Mata vineyards in Havelock North. :) My rose garden after the rain...
