Hello!

As some of you might remember, English is not my first language. So, once in a while, I get quite stuck trying to find one particular word or expression. Dictionaries only go so far...

So, I'd be very happy if you could help me out with this one. :)

It's a little gloomy, but it does make sense in the story I'm working on:

Word in French: peloton d'exécution
Meaning: a "peloton d'exécution" is a group of people, usually soldiers, with the delicate task of executing people by firing on them simultaneously.

From my research, the English expression would be "execution platoon", but... I dunno, it just sounds weird, so I'd like a confirmation. :)

Thanks!

Aaaaaaaah, "firing squad".... Yes, that rings a bell.

"Execution platoon" just sounded silly, eh. :)

Thanks!

"Execution Platoon" brings Star Wars and Stormtroopers to mind for some reason....
