DHS Agent Awaiting Trial in N. Dakota for Killing Air Force Sergeant, Possible Major Cover-Up Underway

by Benjamin Wetmore Sep. 24, 2024 6:00 pm

On Christmas Eve 2023, 41 year old Master Sergeant Nicholas Van Pelt was dead, and a 40 year old woman who was not his wife was on the ground bleeding from a bullet to the shoulder and one to the arm. Meanwhile, Department of Homeland Security Agent Daniel Breijo was patiently waiting for police to arrive with his hands on his head and the murder weapon at his side in the bathroom.

Dayum, folks, put a gold star on your calendar today....Hell, put two gold stars!

Rightguide finally posted something interesting from Gateway Pundit!

A fucking Gothic murder mystery!
Not one, not two, not three, but FOUR law enforcement agencies involved!

  1. The shooter was a "deep cover" DHS federal agent in North Dakota.
  2. The murder victim was an Air Force Master Sergeant stationed in North Dakota
  3. The shooter also shot but did not kill the sergeant's side chick (NOT his wife) who is an employee of the North Dakota State Attorney's office. Her name is withheld becoz she positively identified the shooter.
  4. The shooter may or may not have had an ongoing inappropriate relationship with a female FBI agent in the Minot North Dakota office.
The defendant's attorneys have asked for a complete seal on the case and the State Attorney said "no objection". All four government agencies seem to want this case to simply "go away". People are speculating that this is some sort of corruption case between the feds, the Air Force and the local law enforcement that is attempting to be spun into some sort of love triangle (or quadrangle) gone wrong.

Some federal agent apparently shot an airman and a civilian lady....not good, but hardly political.

Can't wait to hear how this is the Democrats' fault.
No kidding! I admit I was surprised as hell to see Gateway freakin' Pundit airing dirty Republican laundry but i guess the alleged double adultery angle amongst four government agencies (with the murder being the proverbial "cherry on top" was too irresistible for even the most partisan of rags. The fact that Rightguide felt compelled to bring it up here is further proof!

And, once again, in his haste to post, ReichGuard botched the thread title.

It seems like it might be more than a love triangle. The victim is a member of an elite Air Force security unit charged with protecting the physical security of our nuclear weapons and our missile launch sites across 4000 square miles of territory. The perpetrator is a federal Homeland Security Agent. One has to ask why "all' of the details are being withheld and the defense is asking that the entire proceedings be sealed? Who is Daniel Breijo?

This story gets stranger by the minute. Initial arguments over evidence have been closed to the general public, something that evidently has not happened in over 20 years in North Dakota. The North Dakota press association is having a hissy fit about this court-ordered secrecy.

Also, the judge granted access to the murder victim's 20 or so relatives to see all the evidence and initial hearings. I find that strange.

The judge completed law school in 2006 but didn't pass the bar exam until 2013 (he did research for public defenders in the interim). (Derpy has lectured us for years about how hard it is to pass the state bar exam) After he passed the bar he became a public defender for the county for two years, then was appointed a county judge in 2015 and subsequently ran (and won) an election for district judge.

It seems that Daniel Breijo has some questionable history as well. How could anyone suggest his charges be pled down or even dismissed? There has to be something else at play here. Maybe a national security fiasco nobody wants revealed.
