I'm probably all wet here ...

What's the difference between gender dysphoria and transvestic fetishism or crossdressing
Answer: The erection (and release)?

For a guy -
* Get dressed as a female and it feels right and comfortable - no erection
* Get dressed as a female and he gets an erection and seeks sexual release

Dysphoria isn't really about arousal at all. Nor is it about dressing. Neither of the scenarios you provided is about dysphoria.

It's when one feels dysphoric (like a "this is wrong" feeling) about the body they're in, because a differently-gendered body would correctly suit their sense of gender identity. Dysphoria is a clinically-unhealthy level of mental distress.

Crossdressers and fetishists don't necessarily want to escape a wrongly-gendered body for the sake of their mental health, they just want to dress the body they already have in a cross-gender or fetishistic way.

Thanks for clearing that up.
Most appreciated. Don't need the confusion to spread.

When I dress in women's clothes I want to feel feminine, but I do not want to stop being a man.
