I once went out with a guy who's band was called The Morning Horns ... that is NOT a good band name.
Another boyfriend had a 'band' of sorts called Ministry of Compulsory Joy - it was later shortened to Compulsory Joy, which I thought was a pity. But it leads me to thinking of Joy Division, which was a great band name.
Another boyfriend (yes, OK, there's a theme) had a band called the Hallelujah Picassos. For no reason other than the guys liked both the words, so stuck them together. 'Picassos' or 'HPs' for short. It worked weirdly well. (His side project was Two Thieves & a Liar - there were two of them and a sampler.)
