What's one of the better places for a guy to get his hair cut?

Not only cut, but be able to bring in a pic of the hairstyle you want and they be able to fix you up like that and show you how to do it yourself. Because I need to get my hair cut and styled and what not just like it is in a pic that I have of someone else. Anyone know of a good place for a guy to be able to do this?

A salon should be able to.

Just go in and ask if they do men.

IF THEY DON"T BURN THE PLACE TO THE GROUND!

I've been called sharp before, but no man has ever called me cheap...

...and lived.

Heh, if it's alright with you Rambling Rose, I'd rather not go to your salon. hehe

Any other suggestions?

Okay, in all seriousness here is a tip:

Either find someone who has a haircut that you love and go to their stylist, or take your picture to an upscale salon (they will do men's cuts!) and show them your photograph. If your hair is similar in thickness and structure they should be able to duplicate it for under $40.

Another thing...when going to a budget salon like Regis, don't go to the hairstylist with the cutest cut. Ask them who cuts their hair and make an appointment with that person instead. It seems so reasonable, but people are just suckers for that stylist with the cute cut. Fools.

Well it's not cute. Heh, I'll post the pic of the hair style that I want if you want, and maybe that will help decide?

It's important to note that you'll never be able to get your hair to look exactly as it does on the day you leave the salon. So don't choose something incredibly high-maintenance that will require a lot of styling techniques you won't want to do on a daily basis.

I've gone into the salon enough times with a picture and ended up with something totally weird. Now I just cut my own hair a couple of times a year. It's much easier to stick to the low-maintenance end of things.

I know, I usually have really short hair and used to just cut my own hair in my bathroom. But I'm getting tired of that. So attached is the hair style that I want, think it's doable?

Very doable. Definitely. Go for it. If the stylist cuts it right, all you'll have to do is shower, apply some styling product and finger-style it. It's very low maintenance. I love it. Especially the blue hair. (You could do that yourself with super-bleaching stuff and Manic-Panic, though.) I really like it a lot. Make sure to post pics if you do get it done that way!

That is just a standard clipper cut. Bleach your hair as white as you can and go find some Manic Panic in blue. Apply carefully and don't wash it too much.

Good luck!

Freya! Damn woman, you are just too quick.

You and I should probably put our heads together to figure out some lotto numbers, while we've got the psychic vibes turned on. What do you think?

I don't want my entire hair blue...not sure if I want it blue at all...even though I have about the same color hair as he does. Maybe just highlights...

When I was younger, I used Blue Moon Berry Kool-Aid to get my hair blue, worked like a charm except for the fact that it came out green (a really cool shade of green though so I kept it) cause my hair was still slightly yellow after the bleaching.

heh, fun times.

Hehe, I'm still skepical about dying my hair blue though. Where would I even buy blue dye?

Sally Beauty Supply is a nationwide chain that carries a wide selection of Manic Panic and Punky Colour dyes. They also sell the beaching kits. I think you should go for it.

I dunno. I think my hair might look better with just the blue highlights in my hair, instead of an all blue hair. Plus I'm afraid of bleaching my hair...lol :)

I'd do my whole head blue if I were you, then you can be all sexy like Stevo in SLC Punk.

You don't have to worry much about bleaching hair that is as short as yours will be, because hair that length is trimmed more regularly, so you'd keep any potential damage or split ends at bay. Blue highlights would be cool, though, and a good intermediary step if you decided you'd like to go all the way in the fufture.
