some say it's an acquired taste... which is probably true, in some regard... we start associating it with sexual arousal over time, and so it becomes an exciting smell/taste...

my suggestion would be to get clean before you do it... take a shower together... that gives you the best chances of liking the taste... most people object to the taste more if there are... hygiene issues...

In general then, the taste is earthy.

You will get a salty over flavor if your partner is sweating or has been, so if you pick your girl up after aerobics class and get down to it in the back seat of the car, you might get a stronger salt overtone.

If your GF is nearing her period or has just had it, there may be adull, flat, metallic undertone.

If her diet changes suddenly, you may note a change in flavor. This varries with what changes she has made.

A certain kind of drug, in my experience sulfur based are the worst, may impart a bitter edge.

In gneeral, if she practices a modicum of good hygene it won't taste rancid or sour, but some drugs and certain diets can make the flavor strong and somewhat disagreeable.
