You probably have some—those poems that you thought were really good that never got the attention you hoped they would. Maybe they were posted when everyone was on vacation or watching the World Series or the World Cup or just not many people were reading, for whatever reason.

Well, here's your chance to give that little ditty another chance to shine. Post a link here and I'll go read, vote, comment. I'll do them in order received, as quickly as I can—though I do have limited bandwidth, so don't get greedy. Perhaps restrict yourself to one a week or every few days or something.

Also be forewarned that I will vote and comment honestly. That means if, for whatever reason, I don't think your poem is very good, I will give it a lower vote and a tepid comment. I don't want to get slammed for being a troll when you've asked for my opinion.

One other rule: You go comment on someone's poem as well. Anybody's. You're on the honor (or honour) system there, but be nice.

If others would like to comment on the poem as well, feel free to join me.

Now—go dig around in your closet and show me what I've missed. ;)

Tzara, you betterbe careful!! with all this interest in poetry you are promoting, someone may just nominate you for most influential poet ;)

ya dun read my neglected one, thank you

lick, lick :D

I think I can dig something up...

So, Tz, which one is yours?

There is one poem I have posted that I sometimes look at and think about resubmitting. It was part of a challenge here at the boards - Same Title Challenge: Inhumanity -, but it posted while I was away for some reason I don't recall - possibly a vacation. It was also the first or one of the first poems I posted after Public Feedback started, and I didn't notice at the time that it was off by default, so I never got any reaction to it, except for one comment from Boo. I'd love to hear what you think: Inhumanity: Kosovo, 1999

It seems like my most unread, unvoted and uncommented poems are those that are most not typically me. Condensed and brief, as opposed to my usual word diarrhea. Still, I like 'em.

So here's one to chew on: Trainspotting And A Girl

Off for a late dinner. Will throw my 2c in on any poem here when I get back.

I've done a couple reads on both of your poems and will try and organize my comments and post them later today. Fear my judgment, poets!

As for one of my own, I actually have had all of my poems commented on, so I'm not in bad shape that way. This one has the fewest comments, though that may be because it is very short.

You're so nice lately that it's getting a little, freakin' scary!
But I'm sure I have a poem for you. I'll go look. :D

This one is living in limbo land.

I do like the way you have us all reading and digging through our submissions lists and ;) in other people's closets too.

I read through my submissions list, thank you-- Tzara, I had forgotten about many of them. Mostly I was humbled. They have more comments than I deserve.

what the heck, I swear I logged out-- do you have to log out on the boards and at the .com?

bizarre

Hey, poets. Thanks for the response. I will get to these as I can.

I have family issues at the moment, that have reared their ugly and epic head. Please pardon the delay.

Oddly enough, no.

Liar, and ishtat, I left the clarification (I hope) you had asked for on the public comments section of the poem. Thanks for the feedback!

I'll comment on a few more of poems mentioned here later today when I get home. Great idea, Tzara. ;)

What can I say? Hallowe'en is coming. My costume is Mr. Nice Guy.

Yeah, major scary.

Well, I've got one to go at this point, the verbose but arousing Ms. SeattleRain, who always seems to get my motor running.

So, Evie, you or anyone are welcome. Post your stuff people. You want comment? I got comment.

Y'all go practice random acts of voting and criticism, y'hear?

Well, good for you.

Your AV still scares me, though. ;)

I want to thank Tzara for enlivening my interest in OP's (Other Poet's) poems and thanks also to the OP's for taking the time to RVC on mine.

If you feel your poetry growing stale, reading and truly thinking about what makes a poem work or fail in your own personal view seems to work in bringing new enthusiasm to your own writing, or at least, it does for me.

Why, thank you, Ms. C. Such a nice thing to say. :rose:

Fer me too. Why we're doing this.

Hey. Running out of poems. Feel free to post another. You. Anybody.

Don't wreck that Mini, missy. :)

This one has been on the top shelf with 5 votes and 4 comments since I wrote it over a year and a half ago, commemorating the fall of Saigon. It has heavy language and is a sestina, so by its nature, it is a long poem.

A remarkable anniversary.

Alas, I haven't even got it in the garage yet. It's languishing in Calgary (6 and a half hours away) until I'm strong enough to drive it back... psssst, it's a long weekend coming up. I may be able to zoom around in it ;) by Sunday... wheeeeeeeeee!

Um, how about my boyfriend, god

Sorry folks. I have been lax here, recently. Other things on my mind. I will comment on the poems submitted, but I'm, um, away this weekend and so it will be sometime next week before I get to these. Yes, Lauren, that means you too, though you cravenly didn't post the link to your other poem here.

Y'all carry on, though. I'd really like a list of things to look at when I get back.

Piece.

It was a personal invitation to you. I didn't think that particular one would qualify as being in the closet any longer. :D

Enjoy the weekend, Piece.

I also plan on commenting on other poems here - I think I only did on one or two - but I have much work and a family birthday this weekend, so it will have to wait until Monday.
