What's in your bathtub?

I'm considering relaxing in my tub with some salts and I am curious what people use when they want to relax...
Lighting candles or incense is a must though....

Is there a scent that you prefer? Does it mean anything to you when you smell it...aside from oh boy its bath time?!

There is always a big, wet, plastic tub of children's toys in my tub. I never relax in there. Shower and out. That is why we have a hot tub. Right now it smells of flowering trees.

Depends if I want it to be a relaxing bath... then I light a vanilla candle.

Right now it's Vanilla and Sandalwood bath gel by Bath, Body, Etc.

Peach scented candles and peach bath oils. Not too overwhelming, just right for a relaxing time for me.

What's in my tub?

About 6000 toys, and the water my 5 year old forgot to drain.

I haven't taken a bath in ages, I barely have time for more than a quick shower while the kids eat breakfast. The last time I took one, I had sage berry candles from Pier One lit, and citrus bath oil.

I have a whole basket of different salts and oils and the like that i choose from when deciding it's time to hang out in the tub. I have candles all around my bathroom, and one of those neck things so i can lean back and really relax. I have music nearby, or a book. (Can't have both at once. It just irritates me.) I usually have a glass of wine, too, or a snifter of cognac.

I like patchouli, used sparingly of course. I like flower scents, too, like gardenia, lavender, and ylang-ylang (not usually mixed together!) Sometimes i love the zest of lemon in my bath, too, or lime or orange. Depends on my mood and what i want to get from it. Currently, i'm using a lot of some salts called "Caffe Latte" which smells like, yes, coffee.

I think i need an hour in my bathtub, now that you mention it.
I've had a sucky week.
Oh yeh. It's still Monday.

Well, fuck. Maybe i need the downtime, me time, whatever you want to call it, worse than i thought.

Like lots of others here have said. Toys...lots and lots of toys, plus her scrubbie.

When I want to relax in there I chuck it all out, burn a vanilla candle and add either green tea or lavender oil to the water. I'm with cym...I'm needing a bath.

Dog hair is usually a safe bet.

Usually I find a hot shower on the back of my neck , and the sound of running water more relaxing than a bath, so I don't take them often.

Currently?

Dirt!

3yo went hunting for a good fort spot in the woods by our new house. Dirt is what is in my new jacuzzi tub. Dirt!!!

i've not taken a bath in 11 years, I don't know what i'd use to relax... baths' don't relax me they bug me

Well I do enjoy a nice pounding hot shower when i am pressed for time...I like to burn a yummy Angel's Food Cake Candle...and turn out the lights...Bubbles are a must...:)
I play music sometimes...but it has to be something that i can either talk to myself to...like an affermation (spelling!?) or something i can sing to....^_^
Enya is always a good bet...and mhh..I do need a nice bath tonight...
I have splender in the bath bath salts....^_^ Foamy goodness!

:) Thankfully nothing.

From March until December you can usually find a catfish or a bass wallowing in the tub.

I love victoria's secret vanilla lace scented candle or bath and body works mindnight path scent which has a bunch of diferent items for bathing. though i use these when i take a hot shower because a bath is disgusting to me(wallowing around in your own dirt and stink...its like a bubbly cespool)

A mixture of Patchouli Oil, Lavender Oil and Yling Ylang Oil or whatever I decide on at the time...... although sandalwood is one of my favourites. I have a collection different oils to suit my mood.

They also double as perfume so I smell yummy all day!!

Lol exactly -- I got my opinion of baths from Kramer of Seinfeld fame. He said the same thing, and I was immediately turned off. I hate the way the water gets lukewarm after only 10 minutes, but I can't get it too hot in the beginning or I scald my skin.

If I really need to relax in a bath, I'll take it with bubbles, light a few candles (unscented because that's all my grandparents have), and call my SO. Once I played the Braveheart soundtrack -- I hung a towel over the window to make it dark, lit some candles, and turned it on -- but I got too caught up in it. I got scared at the war music and thought the enemy was coming after me. ;)

Hehe I haven't tried listening to music since, but I may again someday.

baths are the greatest

when we built our new home i made sure to pick out a huge garden tub...i am such a bath person...i love it!...candles, alot of them...epsom salt (just plain epsom salt is so good for sore or tired muscles)...green tea bath oil from pier one....and a bar of oatmeal soap....my fave part of the day is to relax in a really hot bath...
