What's in a name...

It may be simply a matter of semantics, but I am curious about the category labels -and what they may imply...

i.e.
- Lesbian SEX
- Gay MALE
- Interracial LOVE

If "Interracial Love", why not "Lesbian Love"?

If "Gay Male", why not simply "Lesbian"?

Doesn't "Lesbian Sex" imply somewhat stories with a "Smash-and-grab" content? Of course, this is great on its own, but it leaves me wondering what to do with those stories focusing on the emotional build-up (something that imho makes the sex even more powerful....) besides the final longed-for erotic outcome..

Just an idle thought.... (after a chat with some friends of mine - avid readers of the site...)

Just for some variety. It would be too boring if we had Lesbian Sex, Gay Male Sex, Interracial Sex, Erotic Coupling Sex, Romantic Sex, Mind Control Sex, NonConsent Sex... *yawn*

Lesbian sex is for stories involving two or more gals. Whether it is emotional sex or the other kind -- it goes there. There's no distinction between the two in the category. That's what taglines are for.

that each consists of two words. I doubt very much that
Laurel intended the semantic subtlties your reading into

It's mine.
Laurel made it and gave it to KM, then she got tired of the bitchin' and back biting and tried to give it to Weird Harold who would have none of it. Chicklet surveyed it once and decided it wasn't what she wanted either.

So KM put it up for sale and a group of slum-lords tried to buy it so she withdrew it and then 2 years ago it was awarded to me in a very prestigious and glamorous ceremony at Grauman's, since when it has taken pride of place on my mantlepiece.

And I can't even give it away.
