Hey guys, without trying to sound like sour grapes, I'd just like to find out what's happening.
A few months ago, I looked around to areas of the site that I'd never visited before - including the "Top Lists" section. Don't know why - I'd just never been there before. I was shocked and pleased when I looked in the Erotica Couplings list to find one of my own stories listed as numero uno. I'd noticed an influx of public feedbacks in the previous few days but didn't know why until then.
I was really pleased about the feedback, but really amazed at the standing. I had something like 124 votes with a 4.89 rating, meaning that virtually everyone posted a 5 for my story. Then one day - I was gone from the # 1 spot. I found it again, well down the list, with only 7 more votes - meaning of course that someone had sabotaged my story - they wanted their own up high so gave me 7 low votes (Hey - it's only math, it was easy to figure out). So what, it's only a story, right? Then a week or so ago, my story disappeared totally from the "top list" listings. I signed in and checked, only to find about two thirds of the votes I'd had have disappeared! I'd had over 130 people that had voted, and now it's down to only 51 votes.
So theres' the question. Is it timing? Do votes disappear after time? If so, why aren't they disappearing from other stories? I know the incoming votes vary with how many stories are posted - when a new story comes on, old stories suddenly get more votes. But - this one story is the only one with votes disappearing that I can tell! What gives - anyone know?
