aside from the big things globbally?

whats happening in your location that maybe talking about a solution can be found.

What concerns you, worries you, bothers you.

what changes have been taking place?

What good has been happening locally for you.

what inteerests you locally

I'll be real glad when they finish this goddamned construction on Lake Shore Drive.

And gas is how much this week?

A spring provincial election here in Quebec concerns me and worries me. After so long with the non elected Bernard Landry in for the Parti Quebecois, we finally have the opportunity to vote him out. I just pray he is voted out!

Federally I am interested in the upcoming election as well. I'm not worried or concerned, but very interested. Do you know who you'll be voting for? Who is the new leader of the NDP? Who will replace the pathetic Joe Clark?

I hear you i hate when they do road constuction, but the main street here and my side street so desperately need it, I am conflicted between the two emotions

Gas, oh geesh, don't get me on that, it's driving me nuts the way its going up so fast, the local cabs here had two price jumps because of the rapid rises in cgas prices

I know his name, I just can't recall it at the moment, i believes miles or weevil or the other canadain that posts with thier style were talking about him a while back, I can't find any bad info on him so the new leader of NDP looks clean so far.

Joe clark replacement, I hear my nb premier bernard, stab you in the back, lord is a front runner, although h won't say whether he is running or not.

I'll likely be voting stepher harper refrom/alliance platform as I am not much for the current direction of the pc, ndp or liberal platforms.

There are lots of things happening locally that concern me.

The governor wants a referendum on the state flag. It's going to be a very bitter fight, there's already talk of boycotting. I'm concerned that people think they can make policy by NOT exercising their right to vote.

There is a bill in the state legislature to return fair dismissal rights to teachers. I'm definitely concerned that it pass.

An elementary school principal was arrested on child molestation charges this weekend. The only response from the school system, "The victim was not a student at the school." WTF?

I am very concerned that the new Superintendent of schools cannot, in my opinion, manage a household budget, forget about the school system budget. Only one of his measures to improve the schools has been implemented, a uniform program, and that was by his direction not through school board approval.

Do you live in the west? The Alliance/Reform doesn't run any candidates here so we don't hear much about them. I will see who wins the Liberal leadership and see who will be heading up the NDP before I make my choice. I would never vote for Paul Martin after his practically campaigning in office. I find that pretty back stabbing too. I lean heavily towards the NDP but it depends who is their leader. I just hope the Bloq doesn't become the leader of the opposition again.

I'm focused on the case of a child rapist/murderer. He has been molesting the girl since she was nine years old. He was on the run for a short time after killing her mother and one of the girl's brothers...one brother escaped because he was out with his friends when the idiot snapped. His defense...she asked for it! How in the hell is a 9 year old little girl able to give consent? Give me 10 minutes in an alley alone with him with a baseball bat and there would be no further courtroom appearances for this asshole.

I'm also keeping an eye on the case of two drug dealers who, irate because they didn't get their money, stabbed two children. One is dead and the other little girl is in rehab here in town. Those are two more people that if I only had 10 minutes alone with them. *sigh*

Of course I'm concerned about America's impending war and freaking gas prices being almost 2 bucks a gallon here in Vegas!!!

Up here in the mountains we had a crime wave. A streaker/flasher that turned out to be a local deputy. I kid you not. That's the biggest news since they renamed the bridge. Oh, I forgot, the closest town got their first traffic light. The sheriff had a ceremony with a bunch of the towns people around to watch and when he went to hang it he dropped and broke it. :D Now they are waiting for a new one.

It's getting too stressful around here for me. ;)

I love all this stuff, keep posting it up.

it's good to here local concerns.

nothing much going on in this town except how the cops are totally using a young dumb drug dealer

they bust him, give him a plea bargin if he will turn in someone else in, then they do that about every 2 nights, the dude is just too dumb to clue in and distance himself from drugs.

and he doesn't seem to realize either that when he runs out of people to turn evidence on he is up the creek with out a paddle on mul;tiple multi prior accounts.

he is clueless.
