Oh, it gets worse: When I was the stay-at-home parent, it would not be unusual for me to make homemade cinnamon rolls...once a week....

Tonight's leftovers...wife and I grew up with our families cleaning up the fridge once a week and eating whatever is in there.

oh man, now you're reminding me of my grandma making them... and if there happened to be any leftovers (very rarely) that was made into bread pudding. yum!

we do that too. it kills me to have to throw stuff away, and it's hard to cook for two and make it taste like I think it should when I grew up cooking for a bunch of people on a big farm. we take left overs in our lunches most of the time, but you still have that one day a week when you git whatcha git, and don't pitch a fit. ;)

Wife and I do lunches from Saturday night "family" takeout/eat out and Sunday evening "big meal"

In my house, though, there's always a jar of sauce and pasta, plus bacon, veggies, and singly frozen chicken breasts or Italian sausage, just in case there's nothing left to have Thursday

trying spaghetti squash with marinara sauce tonight. (my fingers are crossed)

Son and I LOVE it!
I split the squash, roast it with butter, minced onion and garlic..halfway through fork the squash..then we top with sauce and cheese

I split it and roasted it with olive oil and salt and pepper but I like your recipe for next time. It tastes pretty good. I'm going to make this again! Hope you are doing good.

Doing swell here, hopes the same there

I hope this year the farmer's market that supplies me with awesome veggies will have some spaghetti squash this summer, or at least, I hope I get there before the vegans and vegetarians get it all

baked chicken fingers and homemade mac and cheese to harness my inner child, Rogue's Dead Guy Ale to celebrate an super early start to the a very short work week.

leftover prime rib , gonna make a killer sandwich tonight:D
I was gonna bring it to work today but I didn't have time to make it this morning...I needed the extra zzzzz'z instead....

To alleviate server load, we're slowly closing down any threads with over 5,000 posts. You are free to continue this topic as a new thread. Should you do so, please PM me with a link to both the old and new threads, and I will place a link in this post so that others who follow this thread will be able to find the new one.

As annoying as this may be, phasing out all or most of the active super-long/never-ending threads will increase the forum speed substantially. If you see a thread that's active with more than 5,000 posts, please feel free to PM me with the link.

Please note that these threads are not being removed - just closed to new posts.

Thank you for your patience and kind understanding! :rose:
