also know as milk gravy, it is a creamy white gravy with pepper make from the fat grease flour and milk, people eat it on country fried steak and I love it on my rice.

miles I held dinner for a while for you but we ate without you, there are left overs if you show up.

I don't speak French, but

it is called something like Coch au vin which means chicken with wine..

Sautee onions, garlic, and fresh parsley... add mushrooms... add chicken... add 1 cup of water and 2 cups of red wine... you might add some thyme or poulty seasoning... salt an pepper to taste.

Serve over white rice. After you eat, have caesar salad. Have some french bread and butter near at hand. Then have some cheese..

Sip the rest of the red wine throughout the cooking and the eating...

My dinner guest will be here in ten minutes...

Yeppers,,, sure is, just as red-eye gravy is a southern thing,,, and corn bread,,, okra, gumbo,,, none of which I had tonight,,, darn it!!!

ok ive had okra which was pretty good actually and cornbread and gumbo as well!! but im sorry your pepper gravy reminds me of the sausage gravy with biscuits we have at work!! Happens when we are owned by a bunch of peeps from memphis i guess!
