What's Cookin'?

Finally had poutine and Dubai chocolate. The chocolate was fine, I doubt I’ll eat it again. The poutine had melted cheese, not the curds, but I liked it. I had one with dark gravy, shredded cheese, mushrooms & onions too. It sounds better on the menu and I would definitely want to make the light gravy one instead.

Now I have to get some cheese curds.

Mmmm poutine.

I haven't tried the Dubai chocolate but I'm not a chocolate fan so it's not likely I will.

New smashburgers from Costo. Nothing special and I wish they would bring back the angus burgers.

I haven’t been cooking from scratch lately, but I have been making sun tea and that totally counts!

Friday I made spareribs in the crockpot to go with the Mac n cheese & greens (Glory in a can) we had for our weekly family dinner. So. Good.

Something simple. I saw a video on making deli tuna fish sandwiches and was inspired. He said not to use Miracle Whip, but that’s the only thing I eat, I’ve never purchased mayo. I didn’t add celery salt, maybe that won’t give me an authentic NY taste, but I really believe NY claims of the best food are overblown. It needs to stay in the fridge overnight. I’m going to claim it tastes authentic since I’ve never had NY food. Win win for me.

Roasted Turkey breast in the oven, string beans and stuffing. Thanksgiving in July...

Korean street toast. I didn’t add the ketchup or sugar. It was good and a more unique way to have eggs for breakfast.

3 slabs of babybacks are on the smoker, and 12 thighs are marinating in jerk sauce.
