What's cookin', good lookin'? Part II

I made pierogies from scratch. I made one batch of potato and Serrano, one batch of potato and very sharp cheddar, and one batch of farmers cheese.

I normally suck at things like this, but did a step by step with a local pierogi place. Worth it and they were gooooood. Served with sour cream and a beet salad.

I like making pierogi as well. I always invite a friend over and we make a gigantic batch of the dough and a few different fillings. Then we get some Polish music or TV/movie going in the background and make so many pierogi that we both end up with several batches in the freezer. Pierogi are great to have in the freezer, because you can pull out exactly as many as you'd like to eat and they cook fast.

And now I want pierogi. :D

Prawn and crab chowder with a little bit of smoked halibut and corn. (I smoked the halibut myself. It is amazing in chowder! Better than bacon. I pulled the prawn and crab traps too!)

I finally got rid of the rice I had left in the house by making cheesy rice with chicken for a neighbor just home from giving birth. Yes, I'm that neighbor.

Of course I blew up my carbs for today since I saved enough for my dinner and his lunch. So worth it though. I miss rice.

Hey, lady. LTNS.

Hi Fara! I know, it's been awhile since I've posted. Nice to see you too!

Oh, obligatory food post so I don't derail the thread.

Today I'm making dandelion jelly. I just have to get off the internet and go forage for dandelions!
:D

"Looks yummy! " drools the girl who just finished a bowl of split pea soup and is looking for dessert.

They were lovely! There's tvorog cheese in the dough and I made that the night before, but other than that they were really simple to make and quick too. Not too sweet either, because there's no sugar in the dough, the only sugar comes from the coating.

And I'm having fresh pea soup with basil and goat's cheese for lunch today. Twinsies, kinda! :)

3 nutella babka from scratch for bakers against racism. One I kept and two I sold for a donation. I may sell the banoffee I perfected this week as well if there’s anyone that wants it for a donation to a racial justice charity!

Beef stew.

Sadly, I used my last rutabaga today. Now I have to wait until early 2021 before I can get any more. Impossible to find off season in SoFLo

But...lunch for the rest of the week! Yay, me!

How very English! What kind of chicken salad?

Is that what English people eat??? Man, that would have been so much easier than making the fish pie for UK in my ABC country cooking thingy.

It was mixed green leafy things, cucumber, radishes, carrot, strawberries, pan fried chicken with balsamic glaze.

Citrus glazed halibut with mixed green salad.

This sounds very excellent!

Leftover chicken flavored rice pilaf, black eyed peas, and medium cheddar.

Reminds me of the chicken salad I used to get back when I lived in a other city and ate meat - they served it in puffed pastry cups and it was delicious.

I made excellently excellent tacos yesterday.

Shrimp, chorizo crumbs, red and yellow pepper, jalapeno, lime mayo, cilantro and a squeeze of lime on top.
