yeah, those of yours I have read, I thought they were good, and I voted and maybe didnt comment ( i dont remember), but hey, there are people on here that have posted for years and still dont get 10 votes on every poem they post.

Maybe just get your name out there, or vote and send FB yourself? that usually helps, lets readers/writers know that you are seriously interested in others poetry besides your own. Its hard for me personally to send FB to someone whom I have written multiple times and they just act like my voice means nothing, so I usually stop.
but hey,. people are different, we all have our moods and like starting this thread, you brought attention to yourself and thats a good way to get voted upon :) so good luck, keep writing and I'll keep reading:rose:

I have poems that have been on this site for over a year and still don't have 10 votes. I gave up caring about it. I appreciate feedback more than votes.

Oh... and I see votes dropping away periodically, too. I have several that are dwindling. I expect to see one of them have -1 votes soon.

So, yeah. Ask all you want. But if you don't also go out and vote...

What she said above.....you go through high numbers and then negative votes and realise its a numbers game in many cases and all that means is enough people liked it to vote and push it over the top into the H or the most read category. and then someone comes by and bang your average drops.

Feedback to Me means someone read and was affected enough by the work to comment on what moved or didn't move them about it. I really like that.

Take it with a grain of salt and just keep writing. IMnsHO.

Cordelia, the fact that your classic, intelligent, poems do not have ten votes are one of my main reasons for not caring

Hey there... I haven't posted on the boards in a while, but this was at the top when I was lurking today when I had just been thinking about how I'd like a few more votes on my poetry. I have one that was talked about way back when it was posted (Teacher's Pet) that's up to 7 votes, and I thought I'd appeal to you guys and see if you liked it or would at least spread a little vote-lovin'. Of course there are my stories too but those are always more appreciated than the poetry.

Liar, I actually had someone say almost those exact words to me in person, but when I left him, he was verrrrry grateful :D

seriously though, I think anyone who spends any amount of time on here knows that not every one HAS the time to always leave comments and send personal FB. I love this place, but sometimes I wish I didnt have the time cause then it would mean I was getting a paycheck..ohh, solo me ;)

besides, you do send FB, you participate so much on here and have been meaning to talk to you about that play writing that you do, I have been thinking about branching out a little bit and have a couple of ideas--if I could ever get off my lazy ass and get started...okay, this was my start, can you suggest any texts that might be helpful? r, you wanna collaborate someday, I think that would be fun, or send me some of your stuff and let me see how its done, oooohh, that would be cool..if you ever have time
