I love being "that gal". I'm never sure how interested people actually are, so I don't tell a whole lot...y'know?

Mission not TOTALLY accomplished. I got some of my stuff, and my dad was actually pretty pleased I was getting my junk out of the house. My parents have done some lovely remodeling, and they are in the process of turning my old bedroom into a guest room/study. My old dresser has been stripped and refinished and moved into the t.v. room. In it's place is a loveseat. My desk has been turned into "finance central" (my words, not theirs), and my bed has naught but a fitted sheet covering it. I only managed to go through about one-tenth of the shit I've accumulated over the years, and brought back maybe half of that. However, I'm supposed to go back for a real, picturesque family style barbeque at the end of this month, which I'm sure will be complete with great dysfunction. I can't complain...I've been properly armed with appropriate linguistics thanks to Luna, so it shouldn't be much of a problem deal with my family. Of course, I'll get to see nieces and nephews, etc. and be able to go through the rest of my junk. What's left will go to charity.

There you have it. And I thought no one was interested.

Glad you made it back safe and sound and unscathed for the most part.
I hope this dosen't seem too much like prying but I have to ask...how much did you spend on gas?

Plus I have stuff you can do if you need to get away from the family (free beer, pizza, and a live band). I'm thinking the free beer will be the most helpful .

I don't remember exactly, but I can tell you with great authority it was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay less than 2 or 3 hundred dollars.
