Friends ,
while i do enjoy whatever i see out here , i am curious to know what ever happened to old fashioned chat. Where we could simply meet new friends , exchange ideas , share joys and sorrows with each other. The net has the potential of bringing the extremeties of this wide world on the screen of your pc. But i do not wish to sould like an old fogie and say that i do noy enjoy the sexual overtones and the real act as well. But again i feel that there is a beginning and there is an end ,in the sense that you do need to know someone and like someone and share with someone . And what better a forum than this.
I dont know how many people will have similar thoughs but would really like to know your feelings about this

Old fashioned chat

I have chats like this all the time. But not usually on a site dedicated to erotica. ;)

They're possible, just harder to find. Something about the anonymity of the internet makes so many people ask, "what are you wearing?" instead of, "how are you?" Just like in real life, there are people with class and grace and there are the ones without. But also like in real life, it's worth the search to find the people you can really open up to.

I have some male online friends I talk to all the time and have never once talked about sex or really flirted with. Try looking in places where you know people share your interests. I found some cool people on City of Heroes, a MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game). We have things in common, and, generally speaking, they're smarter and more coherent than the average AOL chat room user. One of the guys is even helping me with web design issues I've been stuck on.

And my Yahoo groups discussions on cars, knitting, and books don't usually turn into big orgies, either.

I've seen plenty of intelligent and literate people on here having non-sexual conversations. Old Fashioned Chat is out there. But Literotica probably isn't the first place I'd be looking for it. (Or AOL, because...well... if you've been there, you know.) :)

thanks

thats probably one of the best responses i have ever received in this forum . Its enlighing and its good to know that such sites do exist. However to be honest i do not like the absolute straight faced , proper , chat sites as well. The fun element is missing out there. Of course there are some sites wherein the people are helpful , but again you need a bit of everything ,,isnt it. Its not that i am in any way degrading these forums in any way .Its just my view .. But thanks once again
