Mostly, Joe, you've missed nothing that hasn't happened already. You're good-ish, my pretty.

But hey, I'd like to read the Thesis, too.

Peace,

TH

Edited to add: I want naked McK pics, too. :rose:

Took one look at Le Thesis and decided it's out of my intellectual reach, at least for this level of caffeine. Looks good though.

Oh, not theology. It's far from a metaphysical argument. Probably religious history is the best category. Bit of philosophy of religion, but from a objectifying standpoint.

It's the accent. Frankly, you all sound gay, except for Ringo.
Also, aren't you the rugby one?
Three words: All. Male. Scrum.

good stuff,

joe,

i had a quick read and like the development of ideas. you have lots of good primary sources.

as you say it's kind of history of religion, and history of ideas, which are challenging areas because of the breadth of background knowledge required. everything from Canaanite religion to Xtian theology of the Roman period.

anyway, it looks like a good job. any thought of publishing a portion or a distillation?

best,
j.

It would be hard. I've published philosophy, but not history--truth be told, this was my first effort of any length at a history (and even then, with the categories of "evil", I had to put philosophical divisions on it). I'm not sure its up to peer review in a religious history community.

Of course, I have a defense of it before our department next week, and if that goes well I might be more confidant about it. But, short of that, its nice--but, I'm not too sure of it.

I wanted to take it out to Augustine, but it was running long. Maybe I'll expand it next semester, we'll see.

I think it shows comfortableness with my sexuality to have a shower with the rest of the team after the game.

The Earl

Being comfortable with your own sexuality is one thing.

Its the sexuality of those around you that might come as a surprise. It took a long time for my old club to form a sensible scrum after it became apparent that one of the props was romantically inclined towards sleeping with the dead. I still haven't really recovered from that revelation.

Nope, never gay. Flamboyant, extroverted and controversial, but never gay.

I wouldn't be too hard on yourself though. You're about the fifth person in the last three months.

He's. So. Not. Gay. (even in a helmet) :D

Delightfully straight.

Blissfully, even. The most comfortable of fits in his skin. I want to grow up and be like, The … <nods> … comfortable playing cricket in a batting cage .... <cough> :D

Don't mess with me, Swedish Boy. http://www.addis-welt.de/smilie/smilie/japan/japan005.gif

It's an inside-ish joke ... more or less to say that he's the cutest, helmet-head or not. ;)

Edited to add: Kewl squirrel ... one of those little guys did about $5000 worth of damage when they broke into my parents house. My parents stopped feeding them after that ....

BUSTED!!!!!!!

Hi Joe, nice to see you back fellow wordwarrior.

I has been away off and on lots lately but fondly remember our many intellectual discussions, like which came first, the chicken or the egg, or whether the egg cracked open and god popped out and made a chicken, or something like that.

If your gaydar is on the blink you should take it out of the closet more often.

Nice to see you around still wordsmitherin.
