Well, let's see. Behind me I have my drawing table; it is stacked with my art materials, slowly emerging from my closet and the Art Store.
I am on the floor with Frank N. Stein, my computer, which isn't a major player technology wise but suits me to a tee; his sound is good, so I play all my CDs on him or in my car.
Across the room is my bed; next to that (right next to that; it's a small place) is the TV, a Sony 21" that I got on sale about 12 years ago. Also my VCR. The TV holds up better than the VCRs; this is the third.
In between, piled and stacked and strewn, are my daughter's bed, books books and more books, the occasional light source and Tide Mountain -- the laundry pile.
My kitchen is low tech because I am culinarily challenged, and great speed means great disasters. The bathroom is low tech, too; I do not own a hair dryer.
My front porch is covered with my "The Witch is In" broomstick; divers ceramics projects; a rocking chair and the cat.
That's pretty much it, dave.

Hmmm. I don't think I quite qualify for a technology buff, but I'm definitely a junkie. My computer is from the dinosaur age, but that will be fixed very soon. Most likely with a speedy 800Mhz, 30GB Hard drive, new age machine. I've got 3 VCR's, a DVD player, and a big screen t.v. 56" I think. I've also got all three of the major gaming systems (for the kid in me 
): Playstation, Nintendo 64 and Sega Dreamcast. I also have my trusty Aiwa portable CD player that I take almost everywhere.
I'm extremely intrigued by gadgets and technology toys, if I was rich I'd have all the good stuff

I've got a DVD player and it's hooked up to the big screen and to my stereo for the surround sound effect. It's the best thing in the world. I hardly ever watch the 3 VCR's anymore, except to catch the soaps that I record.

I would like to get a DVD player, but it costs the same as a semester's tuition and supplies. No can do.
actualy dvd players are realy cheap if you dont mind a samsung or a proline...the cheaper dvds are ok but you should try a decent one to be safe..the dvd discs are only slightly more expensive than videos but the features on most of these discs are great and well worth paying extra for.....

As I said -- I don't have the money to spare for entertainment right now; it all goes for school.
spell dame, what make and model is your hifi??? I have a YAMAHA DSPA1 dolby digital amp and a mid range panasonic dvd, I only have a 33" screen but want to upgrade to a 37" when I have the cash, my favourite item has to be my amp, I reacently payed £1100 for this beast and that was reduced from £1700 a real bargain I think,, this thing is technolagy at its finest when it comes to audio....

I have all I need in one little area of my house. I have a 4 bedroom house and only use one of them. It has everything I need in it. My bed, computer and my best friend...my stereo. I have all the other regular goodies like the TV, and vcr and all that other fun stuff but it's very rare that I use those. Other than that my surroundings consist of a "Halloween" decor. The walls are painted the color of Pumpkin and the bed sheets are black.

Let's see. On my right I have a piano, on my left I have two guitars and a bass. Further out there is my studio, tv, cd recorder, cd player, four speakers and a stereo. My collection of video film and CD's. A mixer and about 3 mics.

yes Dave. I know who Jean Michel Jarre and Mike Oldfield is. They are classics in each their style.
I must admit I don't know the particular guitar you're referring to. So I can't say if it's good or not. But as long as it can hold the tuning for over 24 hrs, it's a good one to start on.
I've been playing since I was 9-10 yrs old. And I started out on a beat up Cort Stratocaster. One hell of a BAD guitar. Now I'm the happy owner of a Gibson S1, and I'm never trading that one in for anything.
Just keep playing until your fingers are about to fall off. Then you'll get there in no time. Try to get a hold on a classical guitar and and acustic one also. Give's you a little more variaty. And if you can play them all. You're home free.

thankyou for the advice on playing..my guitar is a black electric and it does sound good..well to me anyway...you must be very good?? have you ever wanted to make your own music and get to number one??? I had a music maker on a playstation and found it to be very good it enabled me to produce my own jarre type of music and believe me I was good at this, I know this because no one believed me when I said that I had made it from scratch.....are you rich do you want to sett up a recording studio with you on guitar and me with a synth (etc) mike oldfield has done a similar thing on a lot of his recent work and ohnestly it sounds great....if you heard it once you would have to own it for yourself...it`s very good and modern sounding,,,dont you fancy it the recording studio I mean,,,,,have you made any of your own music before???
