What would you think if your man learned to give you pedicures and manicures ?

I am thinking of going to a local beautician school to learn to give my Sarah professional pedicures and manicures. The class is not expensive and only takes four lessons. I would love to do it for her as a surprise. Do you think that is too much ?

Has she ever expressed an interest in this sort of service from you?

Not exactly but I do give her pedicures and she loves it. As you probably know professional manicures and pedicures look a lot better and require some training. I love to be trained.

Given that, then I see no problem with it but of course she is the one to ask.

Sounds like a sweet idea.

Especially if she already enjoys what you do for her.

I saw you posted on this thread and I had this mental picture of you telling adante that you want him to give you a pedicure. ROFLMA My brain is trying to kill me

And I agree, it's a sweet idea. If she doesn't like it you can come give me pedicures.

Four lessons? Where are you located?

Here in Massachusetts, the completion of a basic 100 hour course in an approved manicuring program is required just to be allowed to 'apply' to become a licensed manicurist (passing both a practical and written exam is required if you actually wish to acquire a license & be legally eligible to work).

Back in 1995, when i attended cosmetology classes, the average fee just to attend classes to learn what is required to take the test to become a licensed manicurist: $1,500. i'm certain the tuition costs have increased over the past 10+ years.

No idea how much the cost will be for you, how much would make it expensive for you?

As far as four lessons, if this is just a non-professional 'learn to do a home pedicure/manicure' class ... then four lessons could be sufficiant. It all depends on what their corriculum(sp? --too lazy to drag out my spell checker program tonight) will include. If you are talking about learning manicures/pedicures as a profession .... then, my answer is, "No. It is not nearly enough.".

I'd think that it was one of those 'learn to give pedicures at home' cause then they wouldn't have to go into all that stuff on sanitization and things like that.

Most cosmetology schools don't spend a great deal in teaching polishing techniques. More likely, you'll learn the basics of the procedure, and be allowed to perfect the techniques through 'at home practice'.

The emphasis will be on sanitary procedures (of the work area, all impliments, your own hands, and the hands/feet of the client etc), & recognizing and safe guarding against infectious diseases of the nails and skin ..... followed by how to trim nails without causing a preson to bleed like a pig, how to file nails properly, and the basics of a hand/foot massage.

Then there is the learning of the different applications of artificial nails (gels, acrylics, fiberglass etc ect). More time was spent on perfecting this technoque in comparison to anything else when i was in school-- this is the bread and butter $$$ of all manicurists (they don't make a whole lot of dinheiros if the majority of their time with a client is invested in polishing nails .... and just as with any porfessional field, no one goes into the business with their mind not set upon making big $$$, first and foremost. ;) ) .

I'd superglue his fingers together.
Funny that you say so!!

One of the reasons i never cared to work doing artifical nails ... and decided to stick to hair and skin care ... i have always had a serious phobia regarding grazy glues.

One day in class, i couldn't get the friggin cap off of the glue ... decided to hold it VERY tight between both palms and squeezing and turning with all my might ... got the cap off ... squirted glue all over both palms. The glue got on my new white shoes, dropped the cap ........ bent down to retrieve the cap and at the same time wipe the glue off my shoe ..........

Got my shoe lace stuck to one palm ... cap stuck to the other palm. Instructor noticed and told me to sit up straight. We were never allowed to disagree or argue. We HAD TO comply with whatever an instructor told us to do .... immediately. She was pissed when i didn't comply.... and instead tried to explain. Once she understood my predicument it took about an hour soaking in 100% acetone polish remover to get the glue to release.

i was excused from using crazy glue as 'standardly required' for the rest of my 10 months of cosmetology school. :D After that i was allowed to have someone else open the bottle for me, and i applied the glue with a toothpick. Still, i manage to get myself stuck sometimes anyway ....

I'm glad my guy isn't into this. I don't like to have my nail done at all. They always break when I do.

But if it works for you and yours that's great.

I think its a nice thing to do, nothing wrong with pampering your girl.
... or Man. ;)

my Master enjoys receiving pedicures.

He benefits not only due to the relaxing effect of the massage, but also from the improvements to circulation of the feet and calves.
Being a diabetic, it's very important that His feet are cared for properly. Nails must be trimmed carefully, & correctly.
Diabetics are prone to infection and poor circulation of the feet ... & especially the toes, and nail bed.
They are many times plagued with thickened nails, dry, chafed, and cracked skin ... especially of the heels and balls of the feet.
Their feet require much TLC.

He also loves full facial massages, and mud masks, peel-off masks etc .... but, that's another thread, hmm?

LOL So does K. I take care of his nails and his feet and give him facials and head massagges and things like that. He says it's very relaxing.

I sure would love it if someone wanted to give me pedicures!. I don't need polish, but having someone who could trim my nails, and soak my feet and get rid of the icky calluses I have on my feet would be wonderful.

I think its a great idea. My boy is keen, but not really good at it...needs much more practise.
I love having my feet and hands pampered, and hand massage is beautifully intimate and tactile, and can be given openly in public.

I don't know how I missed this but . . . ROFLMAO.

Sadly - been there done that. I was putting some fake nails on myself when I was like 13, and I spilled the super glue all over my hands. I was wearing rings on ever finger then, so I was moving quick to get them off before the glue dried. I never bothered with fake nails since. Well once or twice I got them professionally done - but turns out my nailbeds are at a differt 'arch' then the nails - they won't stay on.

Your right your brain is trying to kill you.....and me.

I am driving myself crazy thinking of how I would go about 'telling' him to give me a pedicure.

I don't tell him to do anything, that would make me a Domme not a shy, sweet slave

I cant stand my feet being touched so he would wonder why I was asking.

Finally imagining his hands coping with all those little files, clippers and things would have me curled up laughing before he even started!

Gracie your brain does weird things to my head LOL

He'd think you were looking for a spanking, would be my guess. You're so SAMMY. Where as I am not. (Please don't read my sig line.)

Cosmetology supply stores do sell arched tips. However, not all salons/nail techs care enough to stock them for their customers. ;)

Next time you want your nails done right graceanne ... check out Sally's Beauty Supply Store ... (last i checked, they did stock arched tips) ... grab a box of the arched/curved tips... hand them to the cheap wench at your next appointment. If she doesn't offer a small discount for supplying your own tips ... severly limit her on the tip offered. heh ....

Cool, I'll remember that if I want to et my nails done sometime. If they' stay for more than two days it might be worth my effort.
