Not to sound calous but a good start would be to not go around spreading this on message boards such as these but to report him to the cops immediatly who can do something about it such as contacting the company he works for and having this laptop scanned.

1. Yes, you do have to give out personal information. It's part of due process.
2. The FBI may not act on the information.
3. Also, be certain that these images were of actual children as opposed to adults who looked like minors.

I had my cousin in for the Holidays with his mother.

He is a computer research engineer and happened to bring his laptop along on his visit.

One day my cousin and his mother went shopping with my mother and grandmother.While they were out I went into the livingroom and saw my cousins pc on but with a screensaver.

I let my better judgement take over and just looked at his pc and his files.

Most were job related and sites loaded that alot of people go to.
but I found something that made me sick.

I found several files devoted entirely to kiddie porn.

It was sickening to me to think a friend and family member would get off on suck sickening images.

He had downloaded pics, vids and stories. I looked and it totaled about 9 gigs worth........

The plot thickens.Years ago my cousin was accused of toughing a young girl in a bad way but was never pushed further than a slap on the wrist.Most family memebers thought it was false.

I now have feelings that he was at fault and is a sick pervert.

What should I do? Is there someone to contact that can search his pc on my word? If he works for a pc company and uses his personal pc at work can it be searched for this and used against him?

I am not jumping the gun everything he had was dated and collected over about a three year period.......I can not getthe sick images out of my head.........I dont want him around me or anyone else.

I watch the news everyday in the area he lives and watch the pc for missing children.......He may be doing something very bad....

Please help...This is for real.....Thank You friends for any information and help.

Most likely, if that is the case...
He has a preconcieved notion that Homo-bi sexuals have lower moral standards then "straight" people. If he is posting that her specifically it is as a test of his world view to read the responses and to see if they validate his homophobia or not.

Either way the response remains the same, if its true report it to the police. If it is not true then know that the moral fiber of people here is no different then that on any other board and you will get the same response no matter where you post this query-report it to the police.

If this is true, then you should report it to law enforcement. But be very sure it is child porn before doing so. It's a very serious charge to make against someone.

Other than that, I do find it odd that you posted this on the GLBT forum. Also, I'd say that "several files devoted entirely to kiddie porn" is a big understatement for "9 gigs" of pictures, videos, and stories. I don't know how many years back you're referring to the "touching" incident either, but it's extremely difficult for me to believe that any such accusation wouldn't get thoroughly investigated by law enforcement. If he got "slapped on the wrist," then he had to have gone through some kind of prosecution and been found guilty (assuming he didn't plead guilty). People go to jail, required to undergo psychiatric counseling, etc. over these kinds of convictions ... not slaps on the wrist.
