Would you bring food, libations, flowers, or another hostess/host gift?

Do you enjoy the hunt for just the right thing a certain occasion?

I think mine would totally depend on the person hosting, but it would need to have a Lit twist. I once brought the hostess a vintage dress as a hostess gift. It’s kind of my thing in both my personal life and business, finding just the right thing.

I agree - it totally depends on the host and the context. Thoughtfulness and matching it up to something that is also "you", while being easy to receive.

I'd gladly bring a cocktail kit with the makings for Old Fashioneds, unless something else ended up making more sense as the evening approached.

One must always bring wine (or an appropriate beer) for the host or hostess. This libation is not meant to be consumed at the party, it's for the host or hostess to enjoy at a time of their own choosing.

For the party, it would depend. I might bring chips and beer (albeit decent chips and decent beer), maybe some BBQ, or perhaps a currant pie.

Bluey and whatever she was willing to make. Usually that means desert.

Wet naps. Because eventually...everybody's gonna need them.

"...a brick in me handbag
And a scowl on me face
And barbed wire in me underwear
To 'ead off disgrace..."

Wine.
A gift for the host/s.
A decent exit strategy.
A discreetly elegant Tazer.
A registered EPIRB.
Emergency Flare.

The county tiddlywinks championship team. They know how to use their fingers.

I've shared many dinners with Litster over the years. Depending on who is attending, I would bring trinkets or gifts. Or, just myself. And tiny handcuffs.

These days, a .45, most likely.

I'm pretty sure that I've been to my last one, so I'm probably safe.

:D
