put on trial and found to be innocent of the WTC atrocity?

Would he actually get as far as being put on trial? (shades of JFK, Oswald and Jack Ruby here).

Would he then be tried for the other crimes he is meant to be responsible for?

Or would he be allowed to walk free?

Just a thought for the weekend.

He would be given a prime an proper trial.

He would be given free lawyers from the ACLU

Whom would immediately get him off on a technicality

Then he would walk free

I personally think that he would be put on trial for each of the crimes he stands accused of, until they could make something stick. Too many people hate him for what he stands for, so the people trying for public support, wouldn't let him walk free without a fight.

It certainly beats the alternative...

If he is killed in these bombings we're doing, he'll be privately buried and we'll never know he was killed.

Then they'll take like stock footage from his used car lot adds and splice them together and adda voice impersonation telling us that we suck.

He'd be put on trial, and, have to succomb to a life of homosexual sex. Puts a new spin on, "You fuck with America, we fuck with you.":)

I am wondering.. If Bin Laden is caught and brought to trial by the United Nations.. wouldn't this be a bit of a precedent?
curious about that....

Never happen. For that to happen the US would have to show the 'evidence' they supposedly have against him, which is probably flakey at best.

we have no way of knowing whether it is flakey or not. though i do think this "war" is a joke. the un has put nations under trial like scrutiny b4, but i don't no about individuals. furthermore, bin laden couldn't be tried by the un. he is not a head of state, and his native country has not been accysed of any impropriety in the attacks. at best the un wouldput sanctions on afghanistan 4 harboring him.

They've convicted his followers before -

His allies and followers have been convicted in a couple of NY trials, with some of them testifying against their former colleagues. Ahmed Ressam, who was caught crossing from Vancouver shortly before the millennium to blow up the LA airport, has spilled all of the beans, as have some of the would-be US Embassy in Paris bombers.

I think he could absolutely go on trial and I long to see it happen.

One of my arguments against the death penalty is that a scum like bin Lden would grow old watching the world reject and forget his ideas, just the way the Nazi Karl Hess did in Spandau. had we executed Hess, as we did with some of his colleagues, he would have been happier. All he had for support were periodic visits from skinhead losers who would shout Nazi slogans at his windows. What a context for rexamining one's life: Total failure.

I hadn't thought about it that way before, but you're right...
