I spent 8 years in college, and countless hours training to do psychotherapy, yet I learn more about people from observing my dogs. Each has his own personality and aptitudes, and each fits the template for how dogs are meant to be. I get guidance from dogs about how people are supposed to be....I mean 'likely to be.'

Cats are definitely different, but also a lot of fun. They are currently tearing around the house, leaping off of furniture, and stalking each other.

I wouldn't be sweeping up dog hair every day. I wouldn't have to put my food out of reach. I wouldn't be woken up at 4 in the morning to let her outside. I wouldn't have my 80 pound shadow under my feet everywhere I go. I'd be miserable
