What do you believe would happen if America totally disengaged from the world? Withdraw all troops from Europe and South Korea call all carrier task forces home. Quick buying crap from China stop buying BMWs , Mercedes , Jaguars , Audis , VWs , Hyundais , Japanese cars ec. Let the EU / China or whoever rises solve the problems left from Americas withdrawal. How long before total chaos reigns?

The British did this between 1950 and 1970. It was not really by choice - evolutionary progress. It will happen to the States, too.

And when it does happen it will mean the end of the United States as it is today. I think we would break up into regions, each an autonomous entity.

After a time, border clashes would break out. Where would it all end? Ask Rome they might have an idea.
