live music

when did you have the first experince of live music and realise it was the greatest pastime in the world

Mine was seeing extreme play when i was 13 and realising that the support act hardline rocked alot more and nuno was a poof

and from that moment on live music is a gift that musicans give to me which i appreciate more than most other things

I know you are going to laugh but it was Sonny and Cher, I was 11 years old and I loved them so my mom took me to see them.

The next one was much cooler "KISS" when I was 13.

I was hooked then.

When I was about 5 I was the ring bearer at a family friends wedding. There was a live band afterword and it was awesome. (also had my first kiss then too) :)

Mine was seeing Alice Cooper and Judias Priest. God hering them play was awsome.:D

Not my first but one of the most memorable concerts was going to see Leo Kotke (sp?) play his guitar (six and twelve string) in a open air Virgin Island bar called barnacle bills. Place only held about 35 people and he played on a bar stoll about 10 feet away. Saw him twice while living in the US Virgin Islands.

My next door neighbor used to be in a band. Every year, we block off the ends of the street and have a party in the middle of the street. My neighbor and his band would usually play. They let me sing a lot, too...not sure why.

My mom was friends with this local jam/cover band who mostly did weddings and F.O.P. Bingo Nights and such. So we saw them pretty often.

The first "real" show I saw was George Thorogood and ZZ Top with my dad when I was 13.
