Deceptions: Book Two of the Blending Enthroned

By Sharon Green.

This is the second book of a second series.

If you've read the Blending series (Convergence, Competitions, Challenges, Betrayals, and Prophecy) and the first in this series (Intrigues), It is a very good read.

These are Fantasy series with a very strong political and social responsibility messages imbedded in the action. The morality isn't really intrusive, because it is integral to the characters' motivations and actions.

Since there are some serious sexual overtones to the magic and inter-character relationships, I'd suggest it to anyone who like Literotica.

This series is published by EOS (A division of Harper Collins Publishers @ WWW.eosbooks.com)

Star Wars - Tales of the Bounty Hunters.

Ive read it multiple times but I like it a lot.

It has seperate stories for each bounty hunter which are great.... The IG88 story is the best... and it has a lot of good facts about them for all the star wars freaks like myself.

its sci fi as you can tell and like i said i think its good.

It has no particular author cuz each story is written by someone else.

if ya like that kinda stuff id say its a good read.

J.D. Salinger

A Crown of Swords

Robert Jordan

fantasy

yes

being that it's the seventh book in the series, and the books are at least 500 pages long, i won't go into that.. it's just good fantasy..

yes, though i suggest you read the first six books in the Wheel of Time series first...

I tend to read a couple of books at a time. Here is the most recent batch I have finished off:

1) Woman: An Intimate Geography by Natalie Angier
This is a book about the female body, written in a way you really wouldn't expect. She discusses the evolution of clitoris and breast, the 'female' chromosome, female aggression, and the chemistry of love. The book is written in an intelligent, conversational tone, and has made me laugh several times. I would highly recommend it, to both women and men. It's full of really interesting information about women and sexuality, biological, historical and psychological.

2) Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling
I got sucked into the series after reading the first few chapters of the first book to my niece. This is the fourth book, and in my opinion the best. It's a great, relaxing easy read. (Something nice and mellow before bedtime.)

3) Totally Herotica edited by Susie Bright and Joani Blank
This is an erotic anthology of short stories written by women. While not every story is a sizzler, there are DEFINITELY some gems in here.

4) Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk
Loved the movie, loved the book. Great read.

Can't wait to see what everyone else is reading.

Weird One, have you read many of the other Sharon Green books? They have been recommended to me several times, but I have yet to read one of them. Can you recommend a good one for me to start on?

Xenocide by Orson Scott Card, it's science fiction, interesting, but the man cannot finish a story!

Unfortunately, since almost all of her fiction is in paperback, the only thing curretnly n print is the blending series, and the blending enthroned series. They are probably they best bet to get you hooked on her writing.

I have all but two of her books, and the Crystals Of Mida series is probably the most interesting. I haven't read anything of hers that I didn't like, so anything you can lay your hands on is probably good. (She does tend to write things in series, so you may be a little bit lost if you start in the middle of things.)

Dean Koontz

Hideaway, and I must say it was better than I thought it would have been.

And also, Hannibal, by the guy that wrote Silence of the Lambs, I havent seen the latest movie yet, but I must say, that the book was very very good......

Thomas Harris

Too freaky...

I just finished re-reading The Stand for the thousandth time and also read Hannibal...I have to say I didn't like it as much as Silence of the Lambs though.

Hmmm...funny....I just finished reading the Orson Scott Card classic "A Planet called Treason"...this very day.

The Path of Daggers

Robert Jordan

Fantasy

Yes

Pretty long story to write about really

Yeah, I would but it would be best to read the rest of the series first, if so then you should read this one.

Dreamcatcher by Stephen King. It's excellant, from what I've gotten thru, but halfway thru my audio, the 8th cassette decided to break and now I'm out my $40 and my book. :(
From where I've gotten, it's about aliens taking over earth and 5 friends, one of them being a man with Downs Syndrom.
I would definately recommend this one.

(Oh yeah, as an afterthought, I've read the stand so many times, I can't remember anymore. Anyone know where I can get it on audio? :) )

Philosophy/ theory of education.

Yes I would but only to at person who is interested in the subject.

Eating Naked.

It's a collection of short stories. I recommend it.

Dance on Air

Nora Roberts first in a new series

Romance and yes I recommend anything she writes.

Transfer Of Power

by Vince Flynn

Fiction, suspense

Very good. Little slow in the first dozen or so pages.

Bad guys invade and capture the White House. Politicians die. Good guys kick some ass and win the day. Politicians are still dead.

Mellow easy read. Good character depth w/o being boring. Quasi-realistic scenerio.

Not easy to put down once it gets going though.

Give it 4 1/4 stars out a possible 5.

Read three over the weekend.

Before I say goodbye....Mary Higgins Clark Not bad, set in present day in New York. Was somewhat of a mystery although I figured out the who and the how long before the middle of the book.
Good Reading, still worth it.

Temptation....Jude Devareau A romance novel set at the turn of the 20th Century. Good story premise, not the typical romance novel as such the main characters actually get along through most of the story.
Another worthwhile read if you like romance.

Sweet Summer Storm....Amy Elizabeth Sanders This is set during the beginning of the French Revolution and the year that follows it. It is actually a spin off of two other characters from her first book. The brother and sister of the respective couple in the first book are the main characters of this book. This was a book I read first about 8 years ago. She is a friend of mine from Washington state and writes humorous romance novels. She has alot of wit in her characters and tries to liven them up with real human qualities. Most of her stories are set in the late 1700 or early 1800's and most are in foreign countries. She is well worth the time to read. All of her books are a pleasure to lose yourself in.

Definately find this one if you like Romance.

The Right Stuff

Tom Wolfe

Non-fiction

Gives an "insider's view" of the Mercury space program. Deals with the pilots who became the first astronauts, and the turmoil their wives dealt with. Very good read.

I'd recommend it... especially if you have an interest in the subject.

Just Finished "Bones" - can't remember the author. Somewhat of a suspense/thriller about a reporter who helps to uncover the remains of a serial killer's vicitim. Very good book. Highly recommend it.

Currently reading two. "The Brethren" by John Grisham - only because it was at my mother's house and I was out of books and it was there.

And now a Judith McNaught book (romance) that I read on my lunch hour - "Almost Heaven" - another book lying around at my parent's house.

It has been a while since I bought a book to read because I found it interesting or upon a recommendation.
