I like these elements and personal prefereces:
voyeuristic consentual swinging, especially in situations where there is an element of "chance" as to the question of what will happen: poker games, hesitant wife at amateur night, wife hit on by guys at dance club, wife goes on camping trip with husband and buddies...
Good build-up, especially banter that's sexy but not just ridiculously obscene. Welcomed flirtation between characters, especially while the female is "tsting the situation" curiously with husband's/boyfriend's excited permission...
Female character is entitled to consent and choice during the entire event. Nothing is as sexy as imagining the character doing this because she LOVES doing it, or can't beieve she's really doing it...
Doesn't end too bluntly. Example: sex scvene concludes with the phrase, "And that was just the START of our many adventures!" or something.
