The gardens are beautiful; roses, clematis, gloximia, day lilies, asiatic lilies, water lilies, amaryllis, and vinca minor.

I got a shipment of bamboo, half is in the ground, I wonder if it will outpace the poison ivy.

The nights are cool, the days are warm, as is the pool, but here, humidity rules.

Not much time for TV, but we had to dodge showers last night and watched, "So You Think You Can Dance." I like the first few shows because they show all the free-stylists whom will never make it past ballroom...

The most ethical Congress ever? The most bi-partisan ever?

The radical war against the liberal elements of the West?

There are no summer sports worth talking about...

Do ya drink regular Joe, or lifestyle coffee?

Florida V Mandarin oranges?

Thoughts? Ideas?

Spellcheck?

You should try growing vegetables.
I drink regular coffee but strong. I finally found some good coffee in England.
English tv btw, is odd.
I just had the best scrambled eggs with cheddar.

We don't have any morning glory, moanin' sex maybe...

You cannot grow most vegetables here; the humidity rots them. Thorns, vines, and oaks are the predominant flora. The exception is rice. We export to Iraq.

Talk more about your daughter, her goals and her encounters with the animals! I have a sense some of her experiences and thoughts about life may just be "the ticket" for this land of misfit toys!

Her mother was wowed by her math skills playing a quiz game with her yesterday. The amazement comes from the fact that she highly dissapproves of my rejecting the expensive "Hooked on Math" series for the inexpensive Monopoly, but Frog Princess loves money WAY more than math...

I wonder if my neighbor will love the bamboo in two to three years when it shows up on the edge of his pond...

OH! I left out the Yucca! It never bloomed before, but once we removed the oak canopy...

No, I just believe in being a well-rounded individual, not a round individual...

Are you upset that I didn't reply to any of your tactlessness?

So...in time she will come to understand the wisdom of such a decision on your part! :)

I love Yucca...I grow one plant of it as well! Well, did...the raspberries and ivy may have done it in...:(

All I know is that my neighbor has grown annoyed with my lemon balm...creeping creeping...but it and the peppermint keep the yard smelling sweet rather than like dog shit. :D

Where I live, we don't have "cities."

We have the villages that Hillary wouldn't be caught dead in unless her spouse was govenor...

Lemon and peppermint. I must ask, do you have the old-fashioned lilac too?

:D

Lilac never goes out of fashion!!! She is quite a classic timeless beauty...like rose and lily :) ! I don't have it myself but a couple of my neighbors do...Ahhh...the scent of her is waning...the season comes to an end. :(

Sping is almost sprung, but hey, may annual beds look like they're about ready to burst...

I forget the hanging Million Belles!

So...bamboo is woody, invasive and hard...often used in "pole" making...there's something appealing about it to me.....hmmmmm...not quite sure what it is this morning... ;)

*wanders off ISO some bamboo*...:D

My kind of kid.

My nephew was having trouble with his addition and subtraction. Until Patient1 phrased the question more like money- if you have a quarter and take away 2 dimes, what do you have left? Instead of what's 25 minus 20? When phrased as money, the kid could do the math! That's more practical for life, anyway.

Aye.

Yahtzee gets basic multiplication out of the way.

She's so self-study. If she chooses the activity, she focuses like a lazer. Let anyone else choose a learning activity and she focuses like busybody on a breaking news day...

I think I'll ask to play Yahtzee with my nephew the next time I see him. He's working on those multiplication tables now! I always liked that game when I was a kid...

Let's talk about early morning meetings and how much I hate them. Especially a few of them in a row in one week.

Later, gators.
