What to do when your story has an error in it?

Hello,

I just recently submitted my first story, well; the first chapter of my first story that is. It was so late, my editor and I went over it so many times I'm surprised we missed it; but alas, we did.

So what are my options?

It is still "Pending" so I think I can upload a new version, but I would hate for the person who is reviewing it to have to spend more time reading through 20,000 words to make sure I didn't try to pull a fast one.

Could I contact the person doing the review of it, give them the correct sentance and have them replace the error for me?

If it wasn't for the fact that the sentance completely obliterates the flow of the story, and that readers would probably not even continue I wouldn't mind so much.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Check the Lit FAQ's, Dregun...you can withdraw your story, correct it and resubmit it. It's easy. ;)

If the story is still pending, you don't have to go to that much trouble. Go to it in your personal index and click pending. The story will come up and you can make changes in it and submit it again. The five day or so waiting period will start over.

If you prefer, you can delete it and make changes in your HD and submit it as if it had never been there before.
