I'm thinking, lower the flag to half-mast at the moment of the first impact, then raising it one minute after the second impact. Then go about my day to let the evil-doers know that they cannot change America.

What about you?

The Student Acticvities fair is on the eleventh. Since I'm an officer in the club, I'll be sitting at our table, trying to draw in the freshmen.

I'll be teaching that day, so my class will probably discuss the situation and have amoment of silence.

I will probably treat it as most normal days . I'm sure my grief for those who lost loved ones will be more heartfelt and even though I'm thankful everyday for what I have I'm sure on 9-11 those feelings will definately be upmost in my mind.

yea i was wondering the same thing is everyone going to hold their breathe??? It will be a sad day and will spend it thinking of those lost and feel for their loved ones but we must carry on and show that the U.S.A will not fall.

My company postponed a business meeting so that we wouldn't have people from all parts of the country traveling over Sept 11th.

I'll be at work that day, as any other day. But I will probably watch the TV specials that night.

I'll tell you what we should do

we should party hard like americans always do. I still think it was horrible that they took one of our favorite activities (blowing stuff up) and made it bad. We should set off fireworks and have BBQ's like another fourth just to show them that we are not going to take any of their shit.

Has anyone else heard that they want to make 9-11 a federal holiday? My son said his teacher in school was talking about it. I was wondering if he only heard part of the conversation and maybe the teacher thought they should make it a holiday.. or if the teacher had heard it was going to be made into a holiday.

hey Coca cola, what an american tradition, we should all pop open a can and party hard. No one should be silent except to remember those who fell. after that we should play some skynard, and springstein and yell and scream all day, throw the football around and set up a wiiffle ball field for the kids.

A holiday???

Okay, I know that I'm not going to spend 9-11 alone. But I also feel that September 11th should NOT be made into a holiday...

what we SHOULD have as a holiday is the day we kick Ben Laden's ass straight to hell!

Holiday

I agree V. Bin Laden suxks shit and when he dies we should have a nation wide Block Party

personally I plan to walk myself down to the pier along the Hudson near my house that is directly across from Ground Zero, sit on a bench and cry my fucking eyes out for the friends and neighbors I lost that day. Then I plan to get very, very drunk with my nearest and dearest. Holiday? Don't make me laugh.

As for me

I will have a moment of silence for the family and friends I lost that day. Then I will go to my Military drill and stand strong in my faith to go kick ass.

Rush was talking about this a week or so ago. He made a very good point, something he does very rarely so i remembered it, that we don't have holidays on the day someone died. We have holidays on the day someone was born. Personaly I think they should make the day that they breakground on the new memorial complex around the old WTC site a holiday. That would be a good day to have a holiday since it symbolized rebirth and moving on with life but also rememberance of the dead since the complex will be a memorial.

I am going to blast my speakers with the rockin tune of "Let the eaaaaagggggllllllleeee soarrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" to show that I know who the real enemies to freedom are.

Violette suggested we have a movie marathon of movies that showed new york and the towers in a postive light (ie no id4). Great thinking babe...let's make it happen.
