Right Field is to the wacky right as Oreo is to the wacky left. But - he lives in the DC area, and I've lived in the DC area for 30 years. The OP generally follows the neighborhood scuttle-butt. I don't personally know anyone who works at the White House, and in fact have never been to the White House, but the stories are very consistent on the DC dinner circuit.
Having said that, I'm a recluse and don't socialize. So my hearing of the stories is from a friend of a friend of a friend , and those stories are no doubt embellished, but the common theme is consistent.
