What stories get women off most?

Hi,

I'd be interested to hear from women what stories get you horniest, and why? I've written one story here and would like to write more but I'd like to be able to write for a target audience. So, I'd welcome your thoughts on the matter.

I know there is a story ideas page but I also want to know a few more things.
1. Do you prefer stories written in 1st person, 3rd person etc?
2. Is the use of the 'dirty' words appropriate only at certain points in the story?
3. Is establishing setting, character and personality important or is it best to go straight to the action?
4. Is the age of the characters important? (Are you less interested in a story if the characters are very different in age to you?)
5. Is the category the story ends up in of importance to you?

I know the responses will be as unique as all the individuals involved but I am very keen to write stories with someone (or a particular audience) in mind. I'd welcome comments from women (as well as your thoughts on particular scenarios, of course). Naturally guys are welcome to put in their two cents worth as well

Write your stories for yourself if you like them chances are others will too. How can others like them if you don't. Writing what you know and like is easiest. Cookie Cutter writing in hard if you are not familair with the subject. Why write for the masses when you have a chance to stand out as a unique individual. Besides you can't please everyone.

Then again there is nothing wrong with experimenting with different genres either.

If you want to see what is most popular look at the lists... highest votes and most read.... see what they are like and what category they are in. That would be you biggest clue.

Enjoy what you do and you'll get better as well as gain ing an audience. Write well and we will follow you...

What he said, with the exception of the rating thing. I personally dont look there,mainly because the really good stories arent even on the list. Its like high school on there.

I go to the new section and start clicking on stories,you can find some really nice ones that way.

Find your own voice and stick to it

Self confidence is sexy!

I've found, on discussing it with other women, that story structure and character development is essential.

One the other hand, theres nothing wrong with graphic descriptions. Don't shy away from them thinking that women don't like crude terms. More do than they admit.

Having said that, not all women have the same preferences, any more than men do.

So, since you can't please everyone all the time you might as well please yourself.
