This is only for background checks, though, so only handguns and assault weapons. If rifles and shotguns were factored in, Pennsylvania would be much higher. There is a lot of hunting here. Same with Maine.

It would be interesting to graph that per 100,000 population, bet it would show some interesting and not surprising trends.

Man all those civilized folks in CA love the fucking shit out of their guns.

So huge population states have lots of background checks? I'm shocked I tell you. Shocked. Nice bolding.

Yeah, that was the first thing that I thought. But people that read the Daily Caller aren't exactly renowned for their intellect.

I wonder which state does the greatest number of sales in the "grey market"?Worked in the small arms industry, and my bet would be New Hampshire if it was on a per capita base.

Here in Alaska, the dealer calls up to get a transfer # (or the like) when you buy any rifle or shotgun.

Don't let the libs know that, they think only black weapons get a check. :D

I bet nobody here has ever been to Guam.

I spent two years there and never heard of anybody killing another person.

Have you ever been to Majuro, Marshall Islands?

Well, that's where everyone lives now that used to be residents of the Bikini Islands.

The United States Government moved them to a new location, then dropped nuclear bombs where they used to live.

They can't ever go home because of the radiation.

Time to stock pile on ammunition as well.

Uh.....

Apples to oranges; hunters did not rush out to make these purchases.

However, they did do a check for my Russian-made street sweeper...

Not all background checks result in a purchase, and more than one firearm may be bought on a single background check.

Then there are the antiques which don't require a check.

The cop next to me purchased three AR's and two uppers...
