What smell turns you on?

For me, it has to be the smell of books. And not just new ones, either. I love going to second hand bookshops in London and breathing in their musty smell.

That's the stuff

What about you guys?

What a shame...

I ran my secondhand bookshop for 10 years until December 2004 and no one seemed to be turned on - except by the books.

citrus, fresh mown grass, the rainy smell after a storm, certain aftershaves, chocolate, seaside air, leather.

black cherry candles, patchouly inscense, burning white sage, red cedar, wet grass, the metallic smell before a storm hits, the ocean, Hawaiian Tropic oil, leather.

And to all you guys out there: For the record, that Tag body spray that the American tv channels are touting will NOT make women want to vamp you!

Vanilla, cedar, cheesecake, pumpkin pie.
Ditto...I love Vanilla. I also have a weakness for freshly shampood hair. I love drying a woman's hair, then snuggling against her, resting my head against hers.

Cinnamon, light musk, vanilla/chocolate, honeysuckle (in bloom), raspberry, brewing coffee, rain on a summer night

Leather is one of those scents that instantly calms and relaxes me, makes everything fade away but the little tingle of excitement I always get before I saddle up and get down to the real heart of what I do- riding. Cleaning tack will calm me faster than a shot of Demerol.

Storms coming in make me restless- especially if the wind picks up and starts blowing strongly, and there's lightning. I get almost itchy with the urge to be out in it.

Few things are better, as far as fantasies go, than saddling up a good, solid horse with lots of speed and bottom, and taking a fast canter right at the ocean's edge with a summer night's storm blowing in. I have a short, non-erotic piece about that particular fantasy, and I may just clean it up and submit it.

:D LEATHER :D...Wilsons Leather Store, ohhhh so off limits for me

and a hot, sweaty just got done working out man...mmmmmm yummy :nana:

thunderstorms...lightning, thunder and just the smell of the rain :D

I'm piggybacking on this as well as adding cinnamon, chocolate, roses, lilacs, lilies, and sandalwood.

The Gulf just before the big rains.
The aroma of shrimp boiling in the big pot
Coconut suntan oil on her back
Margaritas

Golly, there are so many for me. Yes, fresh cut grass, vanilla, summer rain and christmas trees are all nice odors. I do stop to linger and enjoy them when they are in the air. But....The smell of coco butter baking on hot skin in the heat of the day. The over heated scent of fresh shampoo in her hair on that same day. Very light perfume or feminin body spray that you have to be close enough to smell. And of course the scent of a woman just after a good workout are but a few of the things that get my juices flowing. So I guess what it boils down to is while many odors make me stop and think, the smell of a woman is what makes me stop thinking.

For nostalgic reasons, Love's Baby Soft. It reminds me of my first girlfriend. Now however, essential oils on the right person like sandalwood, patchouli, vanilla bean and beeswax, makes me weak in the knees.

A little on the crook of the neck. *mmmmelts*

There are lots of smells I adore, but the ones that actually turn me on, physically are the smell of my fiance's cologne when it's warmed on his skin - Chanel Allure and the smell of alcohol on his breath.
Think the alcohol one is related to drunken fumbles as a teenager, but whatever the reason, if he's had a bevvy, he's irrestistible. And, since he gets horny when drunk, it's a good combo!

Jasmine, anise, wood smoke, freshly washed hair that's been wrapped up in a towel and then let down suddenly, giving out that warm rush of scent, sawdust, and sushi (insert tasteless joke here). :)
