My next door neighbor has a beautiful husky type dog....beautiful blue eyes.

I think this dog might be a bit adventurous and might get out of their backyard every now and then. She's not a vicious dog or anything, but she's big and can be scary to anyone who doesn't know her


Tonight, I was sitting out on my front porch and I heard this commotion on the corner of the street.

The lady was beating the dog and yelling for it to go back home.

I don't know. However they seem to care for the dog, I just can't understand why she was beating it with a shoe.

The poor thing went running and yelping home.


It kinda hurt my heart. What should I do? Say something? Ignore it? what?

Call animal control and have them cite the owners for not securing their back yard and endangering the health and life of their pet.

Don't "shrug", 4est, I was looking for just the animal caring advice that you posted....thanks.

I will talk to them tomorrow and see if I can help them secure the fence. If they don't seem to care about it, I'll remind them that there are laws here and it may cost them.

Ugh...this beautiful dog doesn't bother me a bit...she's gorgeous and good natured. I just really hated to see her being beat and kicked.

It made me so mad I almost.....nevermind.

Our dogs in KANSAS kept tunneling out of their kennel, so I just loaded up on concrete and filled the holes with a footing.
