Unfortunately, I am not aware of any free sites that have replaced craigslist. You need to provide your phone number to register and use Doublelist and I don't believe it is well known like craigslist was. I do miss the craigslist personals. Was a great way to meet local people.

reviews of Doublelist are really bad. I'd think very carefully abut using it before registering.
