I am amazed and awed at these responses - they give me hope for our world. I know that sounds rather extreme but I have been to some boards where every answer would have been "tight cunt lips" or "breasts out to here".
I am honored to be a part of this community that can enjoy pleasure of all kinds and not be relegated to treating each other like so many slabs of beef.
A follow-up question for those following the thread:
What are your thoughts on an online community like this? Several that I have met have reached out to each other and shared their burdens. Personally, I feel that this is great but there are some who would say that there can be no true connections in this environment. What's your take?

Considering the need for honesty, I suggest a primary concern about the online community is deception, pure and simple. I have been lied to more times than I have fingers and toes. I just came from a thread where someone has apparently mislead another person in the online world. To say that one person is devastated is to minimize the situation.
Once you build trust, then online friends or acquaintances are great.

To answer your first question... honesty above all!! That is to say without question... online and real life!!
I totally understand and agree with redrider!! I've been lied to, manipulated and made to look the fool by one too many a person. I will not give them anymore credit than that by mentioning names... they know who they are!!! I personally cannot abide a liar much less comprehend their reasoning for lying in the first place... ~sigh~

Well BlueElf for me it would be a combination of many things.
Honesty of course would be one of the most important there are a lot of players out there. To me players are such an awful waste of time and energy.
Trust would be very important. Ever relationship should have its rules. They should be understood in the beginning so there are no suprises.
This is one of my own personal quirks. That is friendship. We did say lover not a causual fling. There is a difference!
Some one that is aggressive, affectionate, romantic, very passionate, and extremely erotic.
Someone un inhibited and capable of returning the extreme pleasure that she recieved!

As far as the community here, I think it is good way to get to know ppl. And after awhile you know who is jerking your chain and who is sincere and yes, you can find love/soulmates here. But one thing to remember this is online/cyber and ppl can hide anything that they want from you. And ppl come here for different reasons, looking for different things. But if you meet someone that you are interested in, you can email them, talk on the phone and these relationship can be just as real as someone that you meet in person.
And btw, I have had some really tough times in r/l and there have been many friends here that were there for me. Some more so then the "r/l friends". Yes you can meet and make lots of true friends here.

I agree with everyone who has stated that honesty is the most important issue in a relationship; and also feel as Jaded1 in the regard that my lover is my best friend. This is the person I want to spend my time with, both sexually or enjoying a walk along the shoreline.
