..to visit Literotica bb and chat?

Is it a form of escapism from the humdrum of our daily lives?

Is it a coping mechanism that allows us to function between two levels of existence?

Is it a place where we can be what we cannot be in our real lives?

Is it an exploration into aspects of sexuality?

Is it a place where , having made some connection with other minds and emotions , we come back to ?

Is it a place where we have made friends or grown fond of some people and a place to hang out?

Is a place where we hoped to find emotional attachments to fill a void ? Is it isolation, anxiety or depression?

Is it an outlet to vent ? Or a place where we exchange ideas and points of view which perhaps we cant possibly talk about with our family or friends?

Is it a place that allows us to speak our minds freely without the fear of repurcussions?

Is it a place where we have found a sense of belonging ?

Tiggs yells at me if I don't come around once in a while. lol

Seriously, she sends me links to threads that might interest me and then I think... "Wow, I haven't been to Lit in while" and then I come spread my "joy"-- Note the sarcasm in the word joy.

where were you dislodged..opps..read that as dislocated from?

I came Yoni because I hadn't written more than a few words in ten years or more. I've been stimulated by the board and the fun and the range in many domains of all the people here.
I couldn't force myself to write every day to get going again - but here it's possible to learn to hit the keyboard again. I tell my wife and kids, "I'm off to work now".

It's more of a figurative dislocation. The emotional detachment that occurs when you stand facing everyone in the elevator. It's the normal abnormalties.

I find the board an interesting place. Some people I agree with others I dont. However when I find a job I doubt that I will be here as much:)

I think it has become a form of therapy for me. But when one is in therapy, everything becomes therapy. In a way.

I love it. And there are some people here whom I adore.

I like to write. I like ideas. It's almost like an interactive journal. In a way.

Everything: In a way.

people out here are scarce and not very exciting...

Not that I would ever get tired of talking about the weather, crops, livestock, and why Massey-Furgesson went out of business.

My motivation

Well, I do not use the chat function. I like the BB. I like to exchange ideas and experiences with like (and unilike) minded individuals, hoping to meet new friends and play pals.

I thought this genre would be a less judgmental forum for diverse ideas and experiences.

FOr the most part, I like to write and can here, on the RP board. oTher than that I'm just bored...
Wait a minute? Free beer and pretzels?!!

My original reason for coming to LIT was to read the stories and poetry as a diversion to the fear and lonliness brought on by September 11th (my girlfriend suggested some "erotica" would distract me!).

After I grew tired of reading, I entered LIT chat, where I "played", again as a relief from the day to day upsetments in my life.

Suddenly I met the man who became the love of my life online AND offline! My reasons then for coming to LIT were to spend time with him.

I then discovered the boards, and have been "stuck" here ever since! The boards have become a world-wide newspaper, a release for things that trouble or confuse me, and a great way to keep up with the folks I became friendly with.

Most importantly it's been an additional and wonderful way to keep my online communication going with my Oman.:rose:

Connecting with people, from all walks of life, from many different places.....And if you are lucky, meeting that special someone.....;)

Motivation???

It's fun. The people are great. My brain gets exercise here.

(And most importantly, when I'm here, I'm not in class.):D :D :D

I came first for the stories then discovered the BB.

As shallow as it might seem to some I like being able to use "fuck" as much as humanly possible.
Mirrors my RL speech more closely.
Seriously though, I like the atmosphere of the BB, it can be a quite a stimulating place.
In more ways than one.
