How do you know if someone is "stalking" you?

Does that mean you follow their posts? PM them nonstop?

"Stalker" carries a negative connotation...does it have a positive one here?

Tell me.

I don't know. I've never had a stalker. I have, however, semi-stalked a few. But they didn't complain. LOL

Semi-stalked? Yea...I think I've done that a time or two.

It can have both positive and negative

connotations. In my case it was mild from several unrelated threads I posted in where a s/he would come in quote my words, change my words about, add a degrading picture or two, etc. Some times it was up to about 8 different threads S/he would do this in and again His or Her words about me were unrelated to the thread, but for the sole purpose to degrade me.

S/he would also contribute to several posts that I did not write in or started about me based souly on belittling my character. My name was not mentioned but false attributes of my character was to describe me as several coherts went on I have nothing better to write today so let's just talk about how she is a gag, bound, drug user, alcoholic that has lost her mind. Mind you none of this is true. It was all innuendoes into attempting to bother me. I just perceived it that s/he was trying to bait me and that is it. So my only alternative was to place them on ignore.

Peace,
Tulip

I am an excellent stalker. I follow many people on here...and none of them have any idea. :D

Someone obviously wanted me to know, and made a cute little slip up in an IM. I thought it was really nice.

I good stalk you sometimes JL. :(

I often track certain peoples posts on the boards, and post on the same threads.......your one of them.

I don't see it as a negative or obsessive thing, its just that those people usually have something interesting or witty to say....(or they have good pics! :D ).

So I hope no-one sees me following their posts as stalking!

I must be a sucky stalker. I just go and check all their posts. I don't necessarily post behind them.

Ohhhhh..I see.

You're a tracker not a stalker.:D

Either way you are more than welcome to do so.

I've wondered about that. How Lit Stalking works. I've only seen it in a good light. Well, except for the stories I've heard where people are malicious. But I've never had a Lit Stalker (that I know of) boo hoo As for being a stalker, I am a semi-stalker of some, I suppose. I just don't let them know it! lol

This thread is about stalking in a good light.

I think it seems most stalkers like being quiet and unobserved. I mean, gosh, if I told them I was stalking them it might scare them off.;)

LOL! I know what you mean, but I really don't think that you being their stalker would scare anyone off!

I'm stalking someone and I think he is probably aware of it in that subtle way.
