What makes a lady contact a guy

I added a post to one of the IM personals and several ladies contacted me immediately. I had a good time with a few of em ... i had never cybered before.

None of them answered my question as to what I said in my post as to what made them decide to contact me. Now, I see a lot of posts from guys that are just A/S/L and even *I* wouldn't contact them... So what is it that the ladies look for in these posts that makes them contact guys like me?

I'm bi-curious. I just recently broke up with a gf of a lil' more than a year. When i was 12 to 13, I "experimented" with friends, and with my ex, we had talked about me exploring that side of my sexuality again, but we never did anything about it.
Now that I'm single, I'm interested but live in a small town, it's hard to find a guy to "experiment" with.

Any suggestions to these quagmires (did I spell that right?)

I have contacted men before and usually it is something interesting in their ad that gets my attention. Could be something small... i.e. something we have in common.

Are there any gay/lesbian bars in your town? How about somewhere nearby? There are also other sites like adultfriendfinder that you could post an ad on.

a guy's post (or a girl's for that matter) has to show that they have intelligence, and preferably a sense of humor as well. Like cloud said...there's usually a hook in their post that makes me think "hmm...this guy could be interesting"

1. They appear to be well educated on a subject I am interested in.
2. They look good looking.

One does not require the other.
