Procrastinator: I'm gonna write. Tomorrow.

All of the above, just not all at once. ;)

I think we all have some of each of those inside us somewhere.

sometimes i do care about the votes and still im not sure why.
usually, its about a story i think ive done...'well'.
im more of a careless writer. i cant pay attention to the details of spelling/grammar while writing, isnt this what and editor is for?

This is me one half of the time (must be a writer thing.)

The other half I'm methodic, orderly and determined. I work best when I forget I have an audience and just write what I like, but I'm not a slave to the muse because I keep a fairly even level of inspiration.

I think I'm none of the above so I'm gonna invent a category for myself:

Worker Bee - sometimes inspired, sometimes not; in it for the long haul.

I chose bitch to the muse, though there have only been a few occasions where I lost the verve for a piece before I finished it. Mainly, I'm a writer with no time to write.

I can relate to all of those. I answered:

OTHER = unpublished novelist

Rumple Foreskin

I'm lazy, haphazard and sporadic as well, but I put down other - Perfectionist. I spent more time tinkering with what I've written already than I do with writing more.

Explains why my 'Unfinished' stories section is so large.

Oh, this is exactly me!

See, I didn't even have compose an answer ....

I had to pick other, because even though my muse bitches me out, I am still able to put in long, slogging hours of re-writing and editing.
Of course, that's all an excuse to hide from the Real World, really!

(Carson, your new av and title are REALLY distracting me!)

Poet, a self-loathing one at that.
Historically, that seems to be the most successful kind. Rejoice!

Other. I don't think of Lit. when I think of my writing (and writing is a joy).

HCtRain! bring back your divinely beautiful face. Por favor!

I voted "other" because there was no entry for "obsessive reviser / chronically imperfect perfectionist." That said, I do have one in the works for which - and do feel free to guffaw - I seriously considered footnotes. In fact it was only the act of putting a couple in to see what they looked like that convinced me it was arrant insanity. There is still something at the end that presents itself as something of a game or jest, but that has some disturbing similarities to a bibliography ...

Shang, I'm sure you know Joyce declared with earned arrogance he'd keep scholars busy for years (or was it centuries). Imagine if "Ulysses" had footnotes!
