sometimes i do care about the votes and still im not sure why.
usually, its about a story i think ive done...'well'.
im more of a careless writer. i cant pay attention to the details of spelling/grammar while writing, isnt this what and editor is for?

This is me one half of the time (must be a writer thing.)

The other half I'm methodic, orderly and determined. I work best when I forget I have an audience and just write what I like, but I'm not a slave to the muse because I keep a fairly even level of inspiration.

I think I'm none of the above so I'm gonna invent a category for myself:

Worker Bee - sometimes inspired, sometimes not; in it for the long haul.

That said, I do have one in the works for which - and do feel free to guffaw - I seriously considered footnotes. In fact it was only the act of putting a couple in to see what they looked like that convinced me it was arrant insanity. There is still something at the end that presents itself as something of a game or jest, but that has some disturbing similarities to a bibliography ...
