What Kind of RPG do you like?

LMAO.... RPG's I am really into fantasy games like Champions of Norrath or Kingdom Hearts

Fantasy based- like Final Fantasy

maybe if it was about sailor scouts and they were heroes and nobody knows they are special girls or if they did know they would not mind. They would kind of like that a little bit!

There is a SRP about that called "Sailor Moon: 10 year later"

Fantasy- D&D, Vanguard
Sci-Fi- Star Wars, Star Trek, old Stargate. Gothic themed fantasy- Ravenloft, Dracula. Modern Day fantasy. My setting would be one of these. :)

i love Secretary RPG

i am crazy for any role play which could be true, secretary, doctor, landlord, neigbor. OMG...

Fan of fantasy rpgs as well, something about swords and magic is just more appealing to me then holding a simple gun and going bang your dead.

Course futuristic fantasy can be appealing too with a mixture of both guns, swords, magic and machinery.

I also like a bit of horror and tragedy to the rpg as well.
<_< Because I'm twisted.

A Little Help, Here?

Hi everybody!
I'm new to Lit, and totally new to ORP.

I was wondering if there were any stories needing characters right now-- and where to find them? Is there anything that doesn't require a lot of background knowledge (games, books, etc.)? I would like to participate, but am not sure how.

Any tips?

Regards,
questing_maiden

Are we talking about computer/console ones? I like the ones which have an interactive story, aren't too gritty/violent/depressing, aren't too childish, have an original world with coherent consistent worldbuilding, and have deep character development preferably with a dating sim elements. Super bonus points if some of the courtable npcs are male, there is fun sim gameplay and adventure-game style puzzles. (So yeah basically there aren't any that satisfy all my criteria. )

Tabletoppers, I don't really play those, too much math and I'm not a fan of Tolkien/D&D style worlds. But I love diceless online roleplay because the anonymity makes it comfortable to be sexual, I can (co-)create the world to my own satisfaction, and I can skip the combat which I'm really not all that interested in.

First, notice that there are 2 forums, the ORP forum and the SRP forum. The SRP forum has a 'players wanted' thread stickied at the top. :) In both forums you will find some RPs based on a novel, anime series, etc. as well as original ones not based on anything. The only way to tell is by looking at a particular thread.

The ORP forum tends to have the roleplays which have more combat and less sex. The ones which actually use material from a tabletop RPG system also tend to be in this forum (Not everything in the forum, maybe not even a majority, use any kind of system or any math.) The more sexual ones in the SRP forum almost never use any kind of system.

You'll also find here in the ORP some of the most original RPs, like Illusion Vale and Dragons and Magic: Hunt for Dreamweaver. Unlike the RPs found in the SRP, the stories here aren't based on sex and therefore have more depth to the story in order to keep players interested.

To questing_maiden: If you're looking to join an RP here in the ORP, you'll have to do some looking around. There are several stories currently active and if you see one you want to join, go to the OOC thread for the RP and ask if you can join. The OOC thread is sometimes marked with the letters "OOC" or it is simply distinguished from the playing thread by not having the letters "IC."

Thanks!

:D

I'll have you know that the artistic aroma has a name; it's called Ode de Geek. It smells like a new video game system. :D

Ode de Geek?

I prefer an Eau du Génie Diabolique myself... a cross between the faint whiff of pyromania, a subtle dose of kickass, and the beautiful scent of people cowering in fear...
