I've had an insult that I was too loud and "un-lady-like" in some of my posts and threads.. They went on to tell me that I really should keep my "ex-rated sexual appeal and boastfulness" to a minimum.. Even was told to watch my "vulgar" language at some point.. And my reply was simply "If I can't be my honest self in my writings, then who can I be?"

I have had them all at some point and time. One has to take into account the source of the insult to weigh its' importance.

race - I'm the evil white man, you can call me 'man for short. (I've also got a little NA in me, but keep that under your hat). Oh, and someone even called me the N-word when I first got here.
gender - Did I mention I'm an evil white MAN. Accused of being sexist and misogynistic. Reality - Not even close to who I am.
sexuality - Accused of being gay AND homophobic. Reality - only my hairdresser knows for sure.
level of promiscuity - I was accused of having an affair with someone on Lit I have never even met, but then I've also been accused of cheating on a wife I don't even have.
weight - I am a fat, loser slob. Reality, I'm usually 10-15 pounds over my ideal body weight. I edged closer to 20 over the holidays, but the holidays are behind me so I'm no longer living off the three food groups of cake, candy and cookies.
level of attractiveness - I've been told I'm ugly by posters who have never even seen me. Reality - I've never broken any mirrors.
intellect - Been told I'm an idiot. I have a high IQ.
nationality - I'm an evil American.
faith - I'm a Christian, so move over witches, that stake is now mine.
socio economic group - I've been accused of being poor trailer-trash and a rich elitist snob. Reality - I've been poor, rather well off, and everything in-between.

Firenzi, I've only been here a month, and I've been called and idiot several times when I posted my opinion. Doesn't bother me though, it just shows the level of their intellect.

i've been told i'm an idiot because my moral compass isn't busted like most Gb'ers. Zumi insinuated multiple times that i am poor. so poor that i surely must live off of mcdonalds and snickers bars. in reality i have a job that pays very well and my family comes from a lot of money. had i chosen not to work a day in my life, i'd still have never been poor.

I don't think I've ever been accurately insulted on Lit. I don't really remember being insulted at all. Some people thought I was older then I was, but I've always considered that a compliment, and probably will until assuming I'm older then I am makes me look old. I wish everyone would do that- I'm in a tough spot and could really use a fucking rum & coke right now.
