Please keep in mind--> This is all in fun, dammit. Don't go getting your knickers twisted.

I'm resurrecting this link. Let's all play.

http://www.winternet.com/~mikelr/flame1.html

I have a few to get the ball rolling:

Dixon Carter Lee: The Royals
Siren: Archivist
WriterDom: Issues
Todd: L'Enfant Provocateur, sometimes Deacon
Lavender and Andra_Jenny: Ideologues
KIDROCK1: Troller (duh)
KillerMuffin: Big Dog
Dillinger: Philosopher

Any thoughts on others? what about yourself?
I tend to be a Picador.

Case in point: I know several Fragile Femmes, but I'm not mentioning any names.

Damn, I was hoping there was a test. Too much there for me to wade through.

Never mind, I'll do it anyway. LOL

That site is hillarious, don't get me started.

I'm waiting for "Godzilla" to come back to the board.

Dillinger: Philosopher

I made a list! *smile*

I'm curious though how one philosophically flames someone?

"Philosopher differs from Profundus Maximus in that he actually does know something. While somewhat humorless and slightly aloof, he is also slow to anger. When he does deign to engage in battle he is considerate of other opinions, but his ponderous and lengthy cogitations effectively smother the opposition."

I'm not too unhappy with this description yet... do I really come across as humorless and slightly aloof?

I'd choose verbose instead of lengthy and uhm... complete and well thought out instead of ponderous...

other than that... uh... I like the "he actually does know something" part... *lol*

I'm a Royal? I thought I was a Virgo. Goddamned fortune cookie philosophies -- they can never agree on what I'm supposed to "Be". Now I'm a Forum "Royal". Sure, why not. Let them byte cake.

That is so funny. I can't go through all of them right now. But the ones I did check out, I can see people in the descriptions!

I'm bookmarking the site!

Come on y'all...

Heh. The people I put on a list responded. Come on, someone...add one or two.

lavvie--As the board's designated liberal mouthpiece, I'm afraid you have to share honors with the designated conservatives. Flipsides, right?

Dixon--somehow I thought you'd get in the spirit. How's the view from the throne?

Dillinger--I don't know if I've ever seen a philosophical flame. But I bet you'd be the one to write it.

KM--You know you have sychophants. Multiple. An always shifting, but very present group. That's why it's nice to be the BigDog.

Oh, and *bump*

Well it is partly true

:p

Interesting -

The Evil Clown actually looks like someone's av, but he's too frightening to identify. I have nothing against this individual, really. And I must say that I think Lavy's too nice to really be an Ideologue, though she has a tendency, as do many. She's also a peacemaker type, and a diplomat. And I'll bet she's hurt by the I characterization.

[*]Archivist & Coffee Klatch- Cheyenne

Archivist, without a doubt. Coffee Klatch? Nope.

The archivist trait comes in handy in RL, too. I'm the one the legal department goes to when no one else has records about something. In RL, lawyers love me! ;)

characters...

Like anything of this sort, it's reducing people to single characteristics, which actually suits very few people. And, the site is a bit mean spirited. But, it's still funny, and it's easy to recognize familiar traits.
That's why I say it's all in fun.

For example, Lavvie seems smart and reasonably sane. I happen to agree with her much of the time. Linking her to the "Ideologue" is not meant as a condemnation. BTW, thanks Lav for joining the list-making.

I'll take one...

UncleBill's the designated Ideologue for Libertarians. Or, perhaps that would make him "Issues." Something like that, anyway.

I think I'm a cross between Picador and Ennui, with a tendency to Profundus Maximus.
